I mean honestly, of the 6. You really only needed to focus on G and C for the most part. T too when it came out.
S, D and N weren't exactly ones one needed to focus on. Of those 3, S you may have had to use like once or twice at best, but it wasn't anything complicated.
It really only become confusing(at least how I see it), when people go and mesh T-Canon with C-Canon. Both connected to G-Canon sure, which was fine, but you can't connect T with C as far as I see it.
But that's a whole other discussion that's kinda going off the rails with this thread.

Yeah, I understand why some of you guys don't like the "everything is canon" system. It certainly has its drawbacks, no argument
Its not worked.
Rey meets Poe for the first time in the TFA Novel and in TLJ the movie.
So they claim everything is canon, but it isnt really. And they essentially still follow that rule that the films take priority.

Old Wounds was non-canon and it pretty much ended up as canon 🙂

Lets not try to pretend like the old EU system was flawless, lol.Yes, current canon also has inconsistencies. Any variation of SW canon always will.
Of course. But that was the entire point of the Canon levels. What im saying is for all the - everything is the same canon now - the films will still take priority. As already proven.

I don't have much issue with either system, to me I honestly don't see a huge difference. The only issue I have with the old system, is moreso how some others interpret it rather than the system itself, which is fine, you do you and all that, but I'm not looking at it like a lot of people do.
Yep. It'll be basically the same. Contradictions will and have occurred and you can be damn sure that the movies will hold priority, television series will come next, and last and certainly least will be the comics and books. Sure, Hidalgo may now need to "confirm" which retcons which but everyone will instinctively know anyways.

Well the issue there wasn't the canon levels but rather that Lucas didn't give a shit about the EU and overwrote all the existing Clone Wars material.

Well yeah, hence why T doesn't connect with C.
Sure some C stuff might reference the T stuff or you may have complete C works(such as the TCW related comics) are within C-canon but not T-canon(since it's only television).
But that still doesn't mean it connects with C-canon, it's just connecting to T-canon.
At best you use S-canon for the material which has both C and T references(IE: Use what is needed, dismiss the rest).
Or you use N-canon when it has all T-Canon related things. Or you only use that C-Canon(T-Canon connected) material for T-canon only and not C-Canon.
Anywhoooo, this is trailing off the topic here.

C-Canon was never really canon tbh. Was more secondary material, that when consistent with canon was great to pretend it was.
Because Both G and T would ignore C. But C would always make G and T related material.
Thats where Disney Canon has made massive improvements, because now there is a company wide consistent effort to make all material actual canon. But like me and ares have pointed out, the movies and Tv ranking top is clearly still a thing whether they openly admit it or not.

Right, that's the summed up version I guess.

If the test screening rumors were true, it was much worse. hence the massive reshoots.
I don't really think reshoots are gonna help at this point....this late in the game? Hell no.
Skeptical that these reshoots are even full or even significant reshoots to begin with, even then..
