Oh Lando and Chewie were great. Yeah ill give you that there were a few things.

Lol im also doing a triple bill of the ST today.

Honestly I blame both Abrams and Rian (and of course Kennedy). Because TFA was just stupid the way it played on OT nostalgia but made no sense in the process. Then Rian came along and just shat on Luke for no reason whatsoever. Heck he even shat on Poe and Finn who were both actually fine in TFA.

So yeah Abrams was kinda stuck from the start with this, but hes not blameless himself. But will give him props for Attempting to bring The fandom together.

I do blame Abrams a little, but not as much as I blame Kennedy. I don't think Abrams was ever malicious in his filmmaking, but I believe that Kennedy and Johnson were.

I watched TFA and TLJ today. Told myself going in to try to be fair. That I was too harsh on them before, and that they don't deserve my ire.

They do. So ****ing much. I wasn't wrong before. TFA has some decent parts, but TLJ is a ****ing mess.

JJ isn't malicious. He's simply a hack.

Spoiler:
So apparently I hear that Rey gets all the Jedi backing her while Sidious gets all the Sith. Apparently all the Jedi just consist of 3 fodders(by comparison) and 4 Masters.

...I really can't believe, that this movie essentially ripped off Dark Empire, only in a faaar worse way...this whole ST has made me appreciate everything previous Canon post-ROTJ far more than before.

So thanks ST, something good there.

Spoiler:
She's momenterally beaten on the ground and she hears the voices of Luke, Anakin, Leia, Ahsoka, Aayla Secura, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Luminara telling her to get up, that they're with her and Anakin says she has to restore balance like he did. So yeah, Sidious is channeling the entire Sith Order and Rey the Jedi, hence the "I am all Sith" and "I'm all the Jedi" exchange before she kills him.

Don’t know why people are surprise by this.

Have we already forgotten his Star Trek verse? They were just rip off of the original films with a few twist here and there.

Into The Darkness was the worse one yet, with changing the death of Spock to Kirk.

Why is everyone surprised this movie turned out to be crap?

I mean 7 was ok at best 8 was pretty meh so there was not much to expect from this..

People aren't surprised at the fact that it's bad but rather at just how big of a steaming pile of shit it truly is.

No - Episode 7 did better because more people bought tickets with the expectation that the Disney Trilogy would be some kind of continuation of the EU novels.

Afterwards many people ended up being disappointed - notably Mark Hamill.

Uh, no. It had precisely nothing to do with Luke.

No offense, but you clearly have no clue of what you’re talking about.

- China rejected The Last Jedi due to the scene where Finn and Rose kiss.

The Chinese leaders are racist towards blacks and they took great offense to a movie with an Asian girl having a relationship with a black man - that is why they rejected the movie and wanted nothing to do with it.

The Chinese have even gotten criticism for racist commercials such as this:

Everything you said is wrong.

Not everything. China is racist.

It's not implied, it's straight up said. And he has
Spoiler:
Snoke clones in vats
in the movie. But that's a retcon obviously.

It's not really a retcon because they had no overarching plan from the start for this new trilogy. Each filmmaker was able to more or less do what they wanted in their respective film. I've enjoyed the ST but the lack of planning and coordination for the trilogy as a whole is one of the main problems with it.

But that's exactly what a retcon is...

Rogue one, solo, and the first three episodes of the mandalorian were all pretty good. I was hoping that someone at disney would at least try to make things better...

I do love how westerners claims the US is racist for its pass misdeeds, but will fight tooth and nails and claims China’s not racist.

Retcon is changing established canon. My point is these new movies never really had established canon because there was no plan to begin with. You can't retcon snoke's origin because at the point of TFA and TLJ the filmmakers didn't know his origin and so it was never established.

Hack implies no talent. He has talent, it just doesn't extend past visuals to things like storytelling that makes sense.

It's simple: They both are.

It was probably a mistake to give JJ Abrams the last movie in the trilogy - a man who is not known for his ability to create compelling or even sensible endings.

Maybe not the films, but TFA novelization gave him a very brief origin which was contradicted by this film.

Westerners aren't racists, get real. America elected a black president. That would never happen in, say, eastern Europe or an Asia.

Every western country has racists in it. Some more than others, sure, but they're there.

Also, Trump.

Ah I see. I've not read such things so I wasn't aware. What kind of origin did the novelization give him?
