Ares, I've been lurking off and on here since TROS came out and you seem saltier than Crait.

Is TROS a great movie? No. Is it even a good movie? Perhaps not. But, personally, I found it to be an entertaining popcorn flick in a franchise that hasn't honestly seen a "good" movie since 1980.

Salty? Nah, TLJ killed SW for me. After that, I’ve been to ambivalent about the franchise to truly be salty. I just thought this film was trash. As much as I loathed TLJ, at least that film had something to say and have things time to breathe.

You are our forum treasure, Surt. Never change 😛

I got no plans on changing.

Once you get evicted, make sure to steal phones often, so you could still post on KMC 👆

Evicted? But I live rent free in your head 🙂

Can't evict me from there, so I'll always be here.

😍

Hug me, you hobo.

So spacious in here...

😂

Ikr? My good buddy Jack helped me throw out those useless brain cells.

You can stay as long as you want, Surt 👆

Galan has read the entire Darth Vader on-going, so maybe he can confirm.

Palps is like our Raz, always in the shadows, controlling everything and playing with his puppets... haermm

Palpatine being responsible for creating Anakin was the HEAVY implication here:

And the writer of the series(Charles Soule) stated in an interview that all the visions Vader witnessed in that issue were FIXED events --things that would(or already did) happen-- and not just possibilities/tricks of the mind:

So yeah...

I think Rise of Skywalker was an improvement over The Last Jedi. Much less SJW preaching, the men were actually portrayed as competent, and for the first time I thought there was chemistry between Poe, Finn and Rey. I actually cared what happened to them in this film.

Rey was actually shown to be vulnerable and in need of training, guidance and help. I also appreciated the cameos appearances. One in particular was a real surprise to me.

That said, there were too many subplot loose ends which weren't fully explained and explored. They also missed a huge opportunity to shed light on the history of the Sith. The first act seemed cobbled together from spare bits and pieces, or Disney execs stuck their noses in. Not sure which but the first act felt way too "busy".

I think this film did the best it could trying to tie all the nonsense from The Last Jedi together. I didn't hate it and think it may be my favorite of the last trilogy. But that's not saying much given my indifference for Disney's Star Wars.

Holy shit, this was bad. The worst in a trilogy of terrible movies.

Yeah there's a lot to criticize about Palpatine's presence but other than that, it was overall ok. Especially when it came to Rei vs Kylo.

Spoiler:
as good as the fight scene on the Death Star wreckage was that some will later in the future call an iconic moment, I feel the one where they fought through a Force Link with the scene changing every time was seriously underrated.

So yeah...

When I read it, I took it as symbolic and not that Palpatine directly resulted in Anakin's birth. I.e he was the chosen one but the dark cloud of the Sith (Palpatine) was hanging over him from the beginning.

Movie was pretty bad. A few good parts but it was a huge mess.

wouldn't make sense. Sidious didn't even enter Anakin's life in canon until TPM. Only way he would have been present before his birth is if he were the father. The page and the writer's statement are pretty clear

One article I read said fans were mad Poe didn't hook up with Finn. I don't get it, I never got gay vibes from either character.

Plus I thought people wanted rose and finn? Don't feel bad for Rose...she got a hug from chewy. Surely this makes up for the fact she will die alone.

Also according to the people behind the movie the thing Finn was trying to tell Rey was that he was force sensitive. Might as well have shouted "water is wet!!!".
