Colossus vs Ares

Colossus punches a hole in Ares, killing him in the process.

Ares is about as dangerous as Beast in the hand-to-hand combat.

Colossus still wins.

No adamantine axe of course.

Good fight, but edge out to Ares, even with the no Axe.

Hercules > Ares > Colossus

Ares. The old wars will reignite.

I mean Ares can give Hercules a tussle, but I cannot fathom picturing Colossus doing the same, under his own power.

He can. He beat Hulk and went toe to toe with Gladiator after all who are greater.

He also fought amped Juggernaut (Cain's power seemed to gradually decrease afterwards, but he clearly was at 100% in Amazing X-Men) and actually managed to win via BFR.

Unlike a certain god of war, he is not lacking feats.

How is this a contest?

It was clear Ares would easily kill Colossus immediately in the Dark Avengers crossover. There wasn't anyone on Utopia who could stop Ares with Namor fighting Sentry. They had to get Valkyrie to sell her soul to Hela to get the powers of a Valkyrie.

Cyclops straight up called Ares a monster that they couldn't stop with Colossus standing right beside him lol.

And then in the second part of the cross-over....Ares fought X-man and was winning, reinforcing how beyond he is Colossus.

I'm voting for Ares, but can be persuaded the other way.

Correction, Colossus had been dispatched to fight Venom (Lol), but Cyclops had a host of other X-men with him:

Spiderman and Captain America beat Hulk as well. Does that mean that if the Hulk was on a rampage that these two, or Colossus for that matter would beat him? Colossus didn't beat Gladiator so why is this being repeated? And no it wouldn't be close if Gladiator decided to use his speed and other powers.

So does that mean we can't use beating the Hulk anymore because Captain America has?

Well it depends.

In a forum fight ,no PIS, would Colossus have beaten the Hulk?

Colossus definitely can't beat Hulk without PIS.

I can see Ares lasting a lot longer against Hulk without PIS.

Ares doesn't have his axe or any weapons here. Are you forgetting that?

Can Ares defeat Hulk without weapons? Well Colossus beat Hulk before.
Can Ares go toe to toe in a prolong fight with Gladiator without weapons? Well Colossus did that too.

Why is going toe to toe with Gladiator, some kind of high end feat?

He sucks.
