Even before Lockheed attacked Hulk, Colossus did significantly better than Ares:

Ares fought WWH and Colossus fought Savage Hulk. 2 different tiers. Colossus got treated like fodder, even while having a team backing him, by WWH. Ares did as well. Thing did as well.

Then, WWH was holding back tremendously against Colossus there but was extremely pissed when he fought Ares and the Avengers.

Lol... in the scans you posted, Colossus admits his punches did nothing.

Colossus fought WWH, too.

And still lasted much longer than Ares... managing NOT TO GET ONE-SHOTTED and actually CONNECTING WITH HIS STRIKES.

He knocked the spit out of Hulk's mouth and prevented him from counter-attacking for whole three panels.

Ares' broke his weapon on Hulk's chest in one fight and failed to land a single hit in the other.

Without any weapons, you mean.

As OP intended Ares to be totally unarmed here --- so no spears, no swords, no grenades, no miniguns and obviously no prep of any kind; pure hand-to-hand combat.

Colossus got strength, durability and maybe speed on ares.

This is a fair fight but I see Ares can wip any a*$ that he can reach.

Ares should be able to kill the Hulk. The only reason Wolverine can’t is he isn’t strong enough.
