No he didn't, Pete was toyed with along with the rest of the mutants. He was no threat at all, and neither was Ares. However, Ares is a better fighter and faster. Lip service means nothing, especially since we know based on feats that Savage Hulk would've destroyed Colossus. Leaning on one scene won't change that.

My point is that most characters have poor showings. Do you remember when Spiderman embarrassed the entire X-Men? Secret Wars?
That's exactly what the Colossus supporters like you and h1 are doing. Using one showing to place Colossus above his station. The fact is that Ares is more agile, more experienced, faster, better fighter, and doesn't tire. You're trying to make this about Ares vs Hulk. Colossus is no Hulk. Colossus is no Gladiator. They even nerfed him, changing his form from solid metal, to a sheet that covers his skin.
As I mentioned, these two are within the same strength tier, or close enough that it wouldn't matter. The Ares that fought on the Avengers and against Hercules would absolutely school Colossus.
Getting into this with you is pointless because when it comes to Asgardians, Olympians, and any other race like them you are clearly biased. This means that your judgement is compromised.
