Comic Book Questions & Discussion

Holy crap. Thanks for those clear explanations. I got mixed feelings about that. Any Superman, no matter how powerful, pre-C/post-C “merged” or whatever, that is functionally immune to his timelessly established weaknesses is no longer the same character, and pointless in a debate so I def get it now.

Having Vertigo, Milestone, and Wildstorm characters with retconned histories with the JLA, however, I actually can def get on board with, despite my initial aversion to reboots.

I also do understand why DC is doing this. Now that they have a more exciting well to draw from, it’s an appropriate time to amp up their banner characters, but it def shouldn’t be permanent

why you keep using apostrophes that rape the site

That doesn't really answer the weakness question 😛

Well imagine a thread where you have, say, Reed on one end of the battlefield, and Superman on the other.

Full Capacity rule.

Reed has Kryptonite, and knows a spell to kill Superman, and has a red sun generator.

Superman is fighting to win.

Superman speed blitzes.

You can tell how sour Carver is lmao

a few questions,

is superman 1m still considered to be more powerful then normal superman?

and are other versions of superman still allowed in vs matches? so could i use superman 1m, earth 2 superman, strange visitor superman and so on?

Say "Superman" one more time, I dare you.

Personally, I don't mind other versions of Superman being used as long as you don't try to power-scale from mainstream Superman.

In other words, if S1M is indeed still considered to be more powerful than mainstream Superman, I don't want to see people arguing that he automatically gets all of mainstream Superman's showings, and then some -- stick to what the characters themselves have done. As a wise man once said: "we don't share feats." If I see any ridiculous power-scaling like that, the thread will be closed. No exceptions.

As for S1M's standing in relation to current mainstream Superman, it will likely be addressed at some point during the upcoming event:

There was a time when I would have absolutely put S1M well above mainstream Superman without any hesitation... But the lines have become much more blurry these days, and I'm no longer sure. /shrug

Joking aside, do you truly think that Superman killed everyone in WF's universe?
At least, Earth is not destroyed though, i can't believe that Superman killed innocent people.

okay got it

The meltdowns over this feat is the stuff of legend. Which board has been the worst so far?

I'm sure cbr who probably see their mod sanctioned version of gladiator as unbeatable

Or their other pet Silver Surfer. Complete with bans for anyone who argues otherwise.

KMC did the reserved approach

CV is a cesspool. Mods wont even ban the biggest trolls. I've seen people classify WONDERWOMAN as more durable then Superman....

That place is awesome to read through for the laughs.

Hey, you think Snyder will explore other multiverses in JL?

The trolls are kept to keep the traffic up. It's obvious at this point.

If he destroyed the multiverse he created then yeah, he did.

And considering the punch also left a continent-sized crater on the planet they were on, he likely killed countless millions (billions?) on that world alone.

And he seems to have completely disintegrated the future Justice League, since I assume that is what is happening here in the bottom panels:

And speak on an earlier point, there is no reason for anyone to be sour. We’re not barred from debating the character because he’s too powerful, per se, but because he’s too wildly inconsistent and we don’t know how powerful he is atm... right?

Hard to say

Based on what he said on his re cent interview, his next event will be about Lex recruiting all the other villains and obtaining the remaining fragments to fully evolve. After that is the major war event. It's basically AM,WF, and M, along with the heroes from different time lines vs Lex, Perpetua, and other villains.

Following this is the judgment day. That's at least my guess. This is where Snyder hint a few more beings that may have entered while the Multiverse was exposed to the void.
