Gay pride is about the strongest force in DC right now:
So you can expect the upcoming Future State League(which is composed of mostly gay characters) to be nigh-unbeatable.
I was just joking with Mr Mind in another thread that they can't be called writers, but activists.
DC Pride solicitations released:

DC Pride 2022, containing all-new stories spotlighting LGBTQIA+ fan-favorites, is DC’s annual Pride-themed anthology comic. The 104-page Prestige format comic, publishing on May 31, will have an introduction by activist, actress, and real-life superhero Nicole Maines (including a teaser for her upcoming DC project!)---
With over 100 pages of original stories and content, DC Pride 2022 celebrates the strength and courage it takes to be a DC Super Hero.

Why are you acting like that's the only time you've trolled.I'm gonna be brief instead of getting up on my soapbox here, but:
You don't think it's offensive to shove them all together and be like "here, play with each other, you're not allowed to play with the straights"?
Or what Bentley said.
I live in Brighton when back in the UK we have plenty of gay groups.

but they can never be part of the gay club. We know that straight members can't join the JLQ how?
What do you mean, they can't be part of the gay club? It's a nightclub, you don't always need membership to enter.
As for how do we know, Extrano didn't collect any straight superheroes to be part of the JLQ.
Though truth be told, after your incel comment I know you're just bored and trolling, lol.

Who's to say a straight member won't join in the future. The Avengers didn't have any androids till Vision joined, or Eternals until Starfox. I think we are looking at this simplisticly, this isn't a CW show, this is the real DC.

Because they're ultimately fictional characters. They have as much agency as the writers give them.
This follows the pattern of writers (and bad ones too) following the trend of "let's throw x group a bone rather than give them a chance for some prominence".
To me it feels far to much like ostracizing them.
Why did sexual identity blow up like it did? The soap opera drama was always the shittiest part of comics, "Oh no, M.J. spent the night in Harry's apartment," like who gives a shit? We all know how this is going to end.
I can't be the only one who reads these books for characters in funny costumes beating the shit out of each other.

Gay clubs and Grinder both serve purposes for queer people to meet/date/hook up etc. I haven’t read the JLQ stuff but it’s hard to imagine what an organizing purpose for an LGBT super group would be. The X-Men have in-story reasons for an all-mutant team; same with, say, Black Panther and Wakanda-based stories. But without a reason to put all the queer heroes together in one group, it does sound… pretty empty, as ideas go.
