So you post something that say it's a black hole and under the same breath you state it's a dimensional rift. Also, he endured the black hole for yrs and was healing during the process. Him being ripped apart doesnt take away from him SURVIVING in a black hole longer than anyone I've seen in comics.

The on-panel description makes it pretty clear that the infant star Surfer created was responsible for lighting the planet:
Thing is, we don't know how large that planet is. Could be tiny and hollow -- especially if the entire thing can be lit with a star the size of a baseball.
