Vader soaks the effects of a weapon that was capable of insta-draining(to the point where it disintegrated) organic life in its vicinity, and proceeds to destroy said machine:
Granted it weakened Vader to some extent, but it's still quite an impressive showing, imo.
He also casually Force-chokes an officer from planetary range:
He did something similar here as well:

But yeah, those two are probably his best range feats in canon.
Originally posted by DeadpoolXXXVader Force-choking Admiral Ozzel in ESB is probably a lesser feat than the other two I posted from the comics, tbh. Vader was in his meditation chamber(which is on the Executor), and Ozzel was a commander of the Executor -- so they were likely aboard the same ship. Granted the Executor is very large(nearly 12 miles long), and we know Ozzel was on the bridge when Vader choked him... But I'm not sure if there is any source that states where Vader's chamber sits relative to the bridge. Though I'd imagine that they're fairly close, given that Vader(and the other officers) can comfortably walk to and from each location.
what about when he choked out that officer in "empire" through the screen?? That one always impressed me a lot.but wouldnt those be -the- best range feats in the new disney canon?
No, it's far from the best overall range feat in canon. Palpatine Force-choking Dooku via hologram in TCW is a vastly better showing, as Palps was on Coruscant and Dooku was on Serenno at the time -- literally thousands of light years apart.
That said, with all the non-stop wank he has received in canon, I feel confident that a peak/prime Vader would be capable of Force-choking from much greater distances than we've seen. He just hasn't been given the opportunity yet... TK choking from planetary range(and without a proper visual of his target) is still pretty good, though.
What, the indestructible metal breakage?
Remind me, why doesn't that prove he can shatter another unbreakable metal like adamantium again?
If it's about the feats, then wouldn't that apply to other materials from other fictions that aren't 100% indestructible? (Say, promethium or inertron, or even forged uru)?
Originally posted by Galan007ah yeah. forgot clone wars was still canon.

xizor isnt part of the new disney canon. he was an eu only character.
DS was just lowkey referring to Vader Force-choking Xizor from a galactic distance in Shadows of the Empire, which is non-canon/Legends material(though I wouldn't be surprised if that story was revamped or canonized one day.)

Never like Xizor, but it's a good feat.
He just wasn't very interesting.

I borrowed the book from the library way back in 01-02, tbh barely remember him even being in it. Had some scenes, wasn't central to the story.
