kinda interesting lucifer has avatars, just like darkseid

I'm not sure Darkseid has avatars anymore since he absorbed them to consolidate power.

But I do disagree with Lucifer having avatars. It's an unnecessary limitation of his power that shouldn't exist. There should be no domain wherein Lucifer's powers should have to be compromised. And like I pointed out before, the Great Darkness being an avatar of Lucifer is stupid.

here's how i see it, presence was just an aspect of the dc supreme being

dc supreme should be the combine of presence, the source, the overvoid

It's made clear throughout the recent stories that the Presence, the Source, the Overvoid, and not the Ultimate Light are all different names for the same being.

Miracle Man 0... What ****ing blasphemy have I just read.

I never understood the hype around Rune King Thor. He killed Mangog, and put an end to Ragnarok (by smashing spool of thread), and he's allegedly has a greater command over the runes than Odin did because he sacrificed more. But that's it. Nothing suggest that he's beyond sky-father level.

I could definitely see Superman, God of Strength; or Superman Prime put up a fight. Not to mention that there are a few incarnations of Superman that would definitively win, e.g. Strange Visitor.

A few browsers have options to Google-translate pages for you. It's not perfect, but you'll get an idea of what they're talking about. You won't really be able to engage in conversations though without looking like an idiot.

Carver would thrive here if he could understand English.

a stray thought:

if we want to get technical and literal, in that image of Lucifer's other selves, it's only GEB's hand that appears... and it's his left hand... which, a little while ago, was also what Darkseid was supposed to be...

Or maybe Darkseid was the left arm. And TEH was the right hand?

This body metaphor should probably die now.

I don't think the left arm/right arm thing was a consideration in Watters' series at all, tbh. I think he just placed *an* extremity in there to indicate that one of Lucifer's many avatars was GEB(which he went out of his way to confirm in the story itself, as well as in subsequent interviews and whatnot.)

Because in Watters-canon, Lucifer was the GEB -- literally hand-crafted by the Presence to be his equal/opposite(the Sidious to God's Yoda, if you will)... An analogy that seems to have stuck in DC-proper.

That said, I'm currently of the opinion that Darkseid/TEH being described as GEB's left and right hands, Pariah embodying his voice, etc. was more metaphorical, whereas Lucifer being shown as the embodiment of the GEB itself was more literal. IOW, Lucifer/GEB was allowing the aforementioned to tap into his totality because he really didn't give a f*ck -- he is impartial either way.

Don't call out Evil Voltron just yet, the issue ended with Pariah summoning all the baddies. It can still work.

👆

That's why I said "currently". This shit can all be changed in a single issue.

but how is lucifer appearing to constantine any different than upsidedown man or trigon appearing to him?

Lucy appears to him as Alan Moore.

My reading of it was that GEB initially took the form(s) of the villains who were more familiar to Constantine, in order to further convey the fact that virtually any 'big bad' in DC history was merely part of its totality -- whereas Lucifer himself [the final form GEB took] was the totality(or at least the closest approximation of it.)

As mentioned, Watters himself already solidified his viewpoint on the matter: Lucifer and GEB are one in the same -- Lucifer was literally created to be the darkness to the Presence's light. So the fact that Watters was also one of the writers of this issue just lends credence to the notion that Lucifer IS GEB.

As mentioned, that is not quite my interpretation, but it may be splitting hairs.

Anyways: calling it now that Superman et al. will form a counter Vultron with big S as the heart, Bats as the brain, etc

The Great Dorkness

Aquaman is the codpiece.

Because my fellow Thor fans want to make it a battle amp to compete with Superman but it's not. It's an amp for sure but more on a metaphysical level I suppose
