It's a tarot card. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_of_Cups.This is what it looks like in the deck:
Ewing is doing his spin on it.
Yep. This is my understanding.
Seven of Cups has many meanings, but based on the comic the meaning Ewing has implemented is of being at a crossroads where an important decision needs to be made and the dreamer needs to weigh up which of the various options is right for them. With all the cups representing different fortunes or in some cases misfortunes.
Hence the reference in the comic to Magneto being presented with this scenario when he reached the Afterlife and deciding Death wasn't the right option for him at that point and instead opting for the Tower. It also mentioned how the many mutants who had died previousy were also presented with this scenario yet instead of waiting in the Waiting Room they chose the Death "chalice" and so passed on tothe afterlife as opposed to this purgatory of sorts.

I see the infinity stones, with an extra one being the Ego stone.
The Infinity Stones didnt even come to mind. Given the cosmology Ewings been introducing in recent years i saw these spheres as being representative of the sefirot within Kaballah. If you Google the Kaballah tree of life you'll see the sefirot are represented by these colours as well.
I could be wrong. Lets see what the rest of the series reveals. 🙂
Originally posted by DarkSaint85The novel portrayed Thrawn and Anakin as loose allies that sort of came together to carry out a common mission during TCW... And the same general thing happened with Thrawn and Vader shortly before ANH. It worked very well in the novel, but I doubt the comic series will be nearly as good.
What do you think of them being pals when younger?
First issue was decent enough though, for an adaption.

Pretty sure Lady Deathstrike and Batroc were losing here...

Today is the day abhi becomes my best friend.
"We know the spores are attracted to the most powerful people. I need Superman".
Rest of the comic has a cute Bunny Harley, and PEacemaker being silly.
Oh, and Wally casually being faster than the Helm of the Lords of Chaos.
Edit (damn, this comic was great for my pet characters): keep Nightwing's statement about the spores being attracted to more powerful people in mind.
Jon has to power up into his blue form to become more powerful than Batman:
