I guess that IF we accept that 'all things are canon' or whatever the line is, and that PreCrisis is canon....
Then for battleboard purposes, it would be usable, even if it's a one-time thing (barring extenuating circumstances, of course). Doesn't matter if it took place 20,30, 40 years ago, unless there is a ruling against it.
