The redeeming quality TBWL has is that he's not currently over used and is kept as an event villain and a cosmic one at that. On top of being a fanfic sutpid and badly written character Joker is crap because he is also overused and writers feel entitled to put him in bad stories without explanation on how he achieves thing other than "he's crazy".

Batman is meh. The Joker is ugh. But the combination of both is actually somewhat less insufferable, while still pretty uninteresting deep down: he has no motivations no rime or reason to his actions, he has no limits etc. etc.

Oh, I think it's worse. It just has the benefit of some people actually using it in a way that's interesting.

Gotcha. I think the trope is overused. The whole hero vs hero or alt hero-turned villian vs hero. It's been done to death. The best story I've read from DC was that Kite-Man issue and before that Miracle Man. I honestly wish they'd delve more into characters like that. Give them time to shine. I'd love to see a Killer Moth mini or give Toy Man a really dark turn where he's targeting kids or something. Give them enemies they can't simply beat up.

Ohh ok. So they just have him acting as a Watcher in the sense that he's observing some of the realities in the Dark multiverse. Makes sense.

I'm more curious about what comes after.......

DC ripping off Marvel's What Ifs with their own Watcher and everything. Smdh
