Do you all feel as if big fights/deaths in comics lately feel underwhelming?

When Alfred died I felt as if comicbooks would never be the same. That's how much I deeply care and respect the Batnam mythos

Considering Hickman's X-series literally shows how death is no biggie for the mutants at least, its definitely turned for the worse in terms of stakes.

It's probably the best X-Men in a decade, but it has its problems. I'd recommend it either way.

Why is Manhattan looking like he's closing his eyes to embrace the love?

I'm pretty sure he wants superman to fuk him, not fight him

Superman wants the same thing.

His fist is not aiming for Manhattan's face.

Manhattan already knows he gets punched by Superman and isn't trying to prevent it. All he wants to see is what comes AFTER that.

No sense fighting the inevitable. He must know how that worked out for Alpheus.
