Superman pulls his punch at the last second, wondering why Manhattan didn't try to defend himself, and they talk it out. Just watch.

Most likely to happen imo

Yeah, there's bound to be dialogue between them. Johns said that much:

Lol. But true

There will be hyperbole immediately after though stating how if he hit him everything would cease to exist simultaneously on all planes of existence

I highly doubt there's going to be a fist fight between the two.

If there is and Superman wins expect one of the biggest shitstorms in comic board history.

I mean, Manhattan has already stated that the last thing he sees before 'the end' is Superman's fist hurling towards his face.

So if Superman doesn't end up socking Manhattan into oblivion, then they're going to have to explain why that's the last thing he foresaw.

The punch will cause some reality shaningans, nut unlike SBP punching the limbo wall.

^ That does indeed seem like the deeper endgame here... Everything becomes canon again after Doomsday Clock.

very likely, DrManhhatan will be depowered by Superman’s Aura
It’s kinda hinted at already that Superman can’t be fully altered. At his core, he always reverts back to what he was. The DC universe by extension is similar

Superman will punch him, DRM will lose his abilities to see into the future, only the past.

It's not that he can't see what happens after that punch... His brain just will not be able to make sense of the information anymore. 👆

Superman should be of absolutely no threat to Dr. Manhattan. Even back in Watchmen he came back from subatomic disintegration, and ever since his introduction in DC canon he's shown to have operated on a higher cosmic scale than Mr. Mxyzptlk.

The best way it could end is if Dr. Manhattan came to the conclusion that he doesn't give a shit and just walks away.

To black knight Rage, Gorr is specifically feeding on dead planets etc, like a maggot (based on the scans I've seen).

So in terms of scope, the entire universe being dead makes his feeding impressive. To use your analogy, it's like a maggot feeding on the few billion or so corpses on your dead Earth, whilst the cripple and the babies are wandering around.

So what you're saying is that if this were a normal, living universe, Gorr wouldn't have been able to take it over. The universe literally has to be dead already in order for him to be universal like this.

Cool. 🙂

Could have said the same thing about World Forger. Then Clark dropped him. 😉

Yes. A lot of writers don't seem to understand the power levels of the characters they write, and that's why we have shit Future Thanos taunting Celestials while standing on the Living Tribunal's corpse. Or in this case, Superman putting the World Forger's ass on the concrete.

Shouldn't have mattered.

I agree that it's borderline stupid and completely illogical, but that's honestly what I've come to expect from Superman at this point.

I'm just along for the ride anymore. 😛

It isn't borderline stupid, it's flat-out stupid.

The lack of consistency in the cosmology only serves to nerf it. Because of a cosmic being is knocked down by physical force, then he's bond by the laws of physics. They might be able to warp reality, but they're stil subject to reality.

It's amazing seeing people get hyped over a page and then it turning out to be nothing. This happens all of the time. I'm on the side lines waiting with a smile (and a laugh once the comic comes out).

Repost... Ironman admits that the machine that he have that can have taken out a gang of Celestials and can kill the entire Celestial race isnt enough to take out a pissed Hulk...

Same comic he states Hulk is strong enough to juggle suns.
