I thought that was a flashback. Nothing indicated the comic was non canon otherwise
Up In The Sky #1 has Clark talking to Pa as an adult... They're talking about the missing girl, actually(the one he saved in this issue.) But as we know, in the current mainstream reality, Ma and Pa Kent were both killed when Clark was still in high school.

However, in the most recent issue Supes also implied that Ma and Pa are dead, so I'm not sure what's going on...

Clark enjoys talking to ghosts.

A drained World Forger who couldn't even lift his hands warping a Universal-distance instantly-thrown planet by Perpetua into a portal?

Imagine trying to lowball that, lol.

Yep.

Even though WF was so depowered that he could "barely lift his arms", and still managed to destroy a planet that had been hurled at them by Perpetua at insane speeds(which then opened a portal that allowed Hawkgirl and John to return to mainstream earth)... I'm sure it'll still be lowballed by 'those guys' because he sacrificed himself in the process.

This is the way.

Uh, the death of Kents is unclear in Rebirth.

Probably a dream then.

Huh?

Ma and Pa being killed when Clark was in high school is literally part of the alterations that Manhattan caused to current/mainstream reality:

So until the above history is undone, that is the truest canon we have to go by.

No indication that it was a dream sequence, iirc. Seems like there's just some inconsistency from King when it comes to that portion of the plot(hence my confusion.)

That's for new 52 Superman, not Rebirth Superman.

Abhi would argue with a damn tree stump 😂

Unfortunately I don't think we'll have to "imagine" for very long.........

🙁

Are you suggesting that the alterations Manhattan made to DC cosmology...alterations that the heroes have been trying to get to the bottom of since DC Rebirth #1...have already been undone, and/or that Manhattan is unaware that cosmology has been further altered?

Proof?

My theory is that Doomsday Clock is happening in a time bubble and once Manhattan is defeated, the changes will be undone.

Time bubble thing is possible, I guess.

I agree that everything changes after DD Clock, though.

You're sure Clarkie wasn't tripping balls and imagining it, same as in BvS: Dawn of Justice?

Those "touching" moments happen a lot in comics.

Read the issue and tell me what you think.

As mentioned, I saw no indication that it was a dream sequence or w/e.

clark be tripping on salvia

You've posted that scene several times, iirc.

"Pa" convinces Clark to go look for that girl.

No indication indeed --- but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. One of the most superheroic things to do (other than stopping bank robberies) is having imaginary conversations with dead relatives...

if the issue says they are dead its possible the dialogue for the previous issue is retconned.

Up in the sky was a great issue. So much respect to Superman but a couple of cheap shots at Batman

But hey, this is Superman after all.

Love the little dialogue regarding green arrow

Snyder is seriously ruining up DC's cosmology

they should let someone like DeMatteis and of course Morrison handles it

A weakened WF made the COIE level AM cry out to his mommy. Superman knocked out the same WF at full power in his home dimension. Damn, Superman’s feat keeps getting bigger and bigger.
