Is this the first time it been hinted or mentioned that Joker is Bisexual?
Short answer is no. Long answer is, I don't know how many times he's been said to be not-straight, but it's been implied at least a few times.

X-Men again flatters to deceive. It starts off giving me the impression that Scott and Logan might be about to pull a lucifer and rebel against heaven, but again, Hickman's terrible characterisation just makes it fall flat, and instead it starts to look like mutantdom is even more of a cult than I had feared.

Yeah lol i mean dude has a obsession with Batman and he does love him.
Luthor once even pointed it out that Batman doesn’t love him like he loves Catwoman

Yeah, some writers definitely like to make Joker's side of the relationship oddly sexual.
I think Kevin Smith once had Joker proposition a dude too, iirc.

Majority of DC's characters aren't relevant or even major sellers.
DC only has five of the top twenty seller titles of and BIG SHOCKER, three of them have the word "Bat" in the title. This is neither new, nor surprising. This is actually somewhat the case EVERY year for most of the last thirty years with rare exceptions like Rebirth kicking off. And to be clear Marvel SOUNDLY beat DC sales that year as always, but Rebirth managed to temporarily give DC more top 10 and top 20 titles
besides the Trinity and their sidekick none of those characters are in the least bit relevant even in their own universe.
Marvel already have characters that fit those rolls that sell more. Superman at his best sells 45k. Thor since Aaron has been selling way more than 45. Wonder Woman isn't a seller unless she gets a relaunch. Cyborg is a racist token for some reason white people seem to like. Aquaman has never been a major seller. Green Lantern has his moments here and there but overall unless Geoff Jon's is writing him he doesn't sell. All their black characters are irrelevant. Their Hispanic counterparts are written even worst. Let's not even forget new characters who never sell or ever work t DC.
Marvel has always owned more of the market share since the 80's. DC litterly has only 2 major seller since forever. Diana donest sell like that she litterly sells like Captain Marvel. Cyborg was never a character people ever cared about even with the movie. Flash is cool but if ask the average person do they care or would care chances are they would say no unless it's the tv series, and even that is a big if. Green Lantern is cool but again outsiders of Geoff Jon's their books don't sell.
Now Warner/DC has litterly been making movies for 50+. Their own movies and kept getting majority flops. Majority of DC Vertigo goes have always flopped. Warner controls their films they aren't and never ever give the rights over to anyone. Also even animations besides Batman and a JL cartoon no one gets an animated series like that. I can count one hand how many characters actually gotten an animated series the past 30 years.
Marvel has always pushed for more than just Spider-man, X-men and the Avengers.
Marvel usually relaunches their titles (more so than DC), so their sales become inflated, not to mention Marvel pushes out more books on a monthly bases.
DC isn't just super-heroes, but they generally push the envelop more, in terms of launching (or used to) such imprints like Wildstorm, Vertigo, Black Label, Wonder Comics, etc... DC is much more diverse, which is why they generally win most of the Eisner Awards.
Weird agendas aside:
There've been rumours for a while now that someone at DC (a high-up editor) was causing trouble by ****ing the wives of writers/artists. I wouldn't be surprised if that was why Didio got shitcanned. Of course, it could be over this whole "5G" thing too, or why it took so long to sort out Rebirth (and it's still not ****ing sorted yet).
Either way, Marvel and DC merging would be a colossal mistake. While you regularly have writers moving between companies, the philosophy at Marvel does not suit DC characters, imo. It wouldn't suit them the other way either, but that's neither here nor there.

It really doesn't make sense how they accepted everyone, live happily all together, breed and "flourish" in their new paradise...Can't wait for Juggernaut #1, I'm going to love to point out their hypocrisy if they tell Cain to GTFO, simply because he doesn't have an x-gene... remember who sits on the damn council.
Cyclops specifically says that normies aren't allowed on Krakoa 😂 when talking about the Richards children.

Oh, it's even more blatant than that.Hilarious, really. And no, I think they just forgot Sinister is no mutie.
Well, too bad it's *not* something that can be easily retconned, so he has a lot of explaining to do.
