The guy is called Nebezial he's either on Artstation or DeviantArt (or both)

Stehphan Sejic (sp?) is his name. He was the regular artist on Aquaman last year for several issues.

Not exactly "retconned", it simply doesn't count anymore. It belongs to Legends continuity.

New canon is being done from a scratch; it doesn't borrow too many EU elements.

Legends have much more material, obviously; so it's not a fair comparison.

But aside from the Sequel Trilogy and Star Wars Resistance TV show, new canon has been doing rather good.
