Gossip: Superman To Lead The Authority in 2021?
For Superman to lead The Authority means that a lot must have gone regarding Superman's relationship to the rest of the Earth. Also that this is how DC is to bring The Authority back into continuity. After the New 52, characters were seen in the new Stormwatch series, and Midnighter and Apollo got their own books for a short time. Then DC chose to revive the Wildstorm titles in a series of books written or showrun by Warren Ellis, only for the WildCATS series to never get off the ground. While the Flash forward epilogue by Scott Lobdell and Brett Booth indicated a return of the WildStorm characters as part of the Generations, 5G and New DC Timeline books.
Retro review: From the creator of Captain Marvel, here comes FATMAN THE HUMAN FLYING SAUCER!
Fun article with pictures and everything. Art style reminds me of the old Archie comics. About as kookie as a Jughead story too.

Anarchy uses all 100%. 🙂Whatever happened to that Gary Stu character that nobody liked or asked for?
Anarky, you mean?
Galan made a respect thread for him:

Batgirl #59, I think.Lately, Cassandra has had no issues with the likes of Nightwing (who she took down in one move) and even Batman admitted that she would take him in a one on one fight.
Cheers. That wasn't one of the fights I was talking about, but I'd never seen it before 👆
I'm talking about the time Tim beat her by mixing up his movements and being unpredictable, and when he one-shot her in Teen Titans (though I believe it was a cheap shot).

They don't have the balls.
Not mainstream Superman at least. An Elseworlds one, why not?
I mean, he's their flagship character. Unlike Marvel with everyone else, the last thing they want to do is shake up the status quo on their Trinity in any way that breaks them.

Do you have issue number? I can't find it.
Either way, current Cassandra is ranked #1 by the current Batman writers.
Cassandra Cain
Nightwing
Batman
Damian Wayne
Kate Kane
Helena Bertinelli
Jason Todd
Duke Thomas
Stephanie Brown
Tim Drake

I'd put Tim over Steph and Duke, and Bruce over Dick, but otherwise this seems pretty dead on

That surprises me. Before the New 52, we had stuff like New Krypton, and that wasn't exactly bursting with feats. I mean, yeah, he was still Post-Crisis Superman at the time, but it wasn't a great spell. For me the absolute pinnacle is Peter David's run (starting with Time and Tide). Without his redesign of the character and the mythos, Aquaman wouldn't be anywhere close to where he is nowadays.
After him? Geoff Johns's New 52 run is reallty good. The late 90s/early 00s by Abnett and Lanning is very good too. And Morrison treated him with a lot of respect any time he wrote him in a JLA book.
Rebirth has been... not great, to say the least. New 52 was fine for the most part, but it suffered as it went on imo.
yeah...the only thing rebirth aquaman had was artwork, then the artwork was gone and it turned to garbage. I thought JLA Drowned was good though.
I feel like aquaman has a lot of mythos and lore that they wasted, like how they can fully explore Poseidon and tie it with olympian gods from WW side. or get creative with atlantis mytho. or go full cthulhu crazy
gotta admit marvel does pantheon gods stories way better than dc, wish dc can treat zeus, poseidon etc like how marvel gave odin respect
instead we have political struggle between arthur, mera, ocean master. or fighting lame villain like black manta every once in a while
Rick Veitch's run is still my favorite btw
