Prime outright stated that Shazam is faster. Adam drew blood from him and tanked his heat vision.
They are certainly more powerful than post Crisis version.

Based on absolutely nothing, It's the same shazam and adam from post crisis. And that just means Prime isn't that durable without the sun harness like i said earlier.

Also like Galan had pointed out, Prime could be not at his peak when this fight happened due to his lack of sunlight or just because Shazam and Black Adam combined magic lightning is that powerful
The absence of evidence is what happened. The writer isn't trying to necessarily say anything beyond the sentence.
