I'm quite certain Punchline was reffering to the effect in general to clear out, the comic doesn't really give away if Punchline saw Harlay giving Batman the antidote. Neither does she mention it when she tells how long the toxin will take to clear.

Yeah I know that, but since when, the comic doesn't really give that away.

If she's actually reffering to Batman's state knowing he was given the antidote, the whole thing wouldn't make sense. Why do you give someone an anidote that takes days to clear the body? Punchline even adresses that after those days there would be nothing left to safe.

Likely because the toxin is that potent. As mentioned, it's Joker toxin + fear toxin + Venom all wrapped up in one.

There would be nothing left to save after those days were up, because the villains were running a muck in Gotham.

Bane would stop them, just like last time 131

To help put this in perspective, even the inferior baseline Joker toxin almost instantly took Firestorm out of commission for multiple issues, despite the fact that he received an antidote and proper hospital care immediately after being exposed. On top of that, he was still feeling the toxin's effects after entering the fray again... And mind you, FS has complete molecular control and accelerated healing.

Bruce has neither(that we know of), and was exposed to a far more potent variation of the toxin... So even IF you ignore him recovering in minutes after Harley gave him the tea, he still pushed past the 'super-toxin's' effects for a few issues without fully succumbing. The showing is legit insane any way you slice it.

I have no problem with Bats having great resistances in general but let's not totally blow shit out of proprtion.

No, you clearly have a problem with Batman. Therefore I have a problem with you.

Reported.

Prime should stick to fighting the Teen Titans. Shazam and BA are too much.

Like the others said; SBP probably wasn't at full power which does make sense.

Batman...with no defined HF...ends up shrugging off the effects of the new Joker toxin.

Wtf? 😕

I dunno. In the seventies, I think it was, there was an issue that showed that if Bruce concentrates, he can stop himself from bleeding out. That has to be part of some sort of healing factor. Would that count?

Shazam and Black Adam vs Superboy Prime.

Shazam is faster than Prime remembers, Black Adam actually draws blood from Prime and together they defeat Prime.

Rebirth characters are more powerful than post Crisis characters in general.

Not a fan of this.
U'd think SBP returning would have been a bigger deal. Granted it took Shaz and Adam to take him out, but huh?? They could have made something cool as phukk. This feels rushed and ended up jobbing SBP in the process.

It must be related to his overall ability to push through damage/injury(like he did against the Talons in Snyder's run.)

Yeah it was pretty stupid, tbh. Prime returning has been built up for the last several issues -- then he finally gets back to earth and gets dropped almost immediately. Weirdest part is that it happened under Johns(who historically wanks the absolute f*ck out of Prime.)

The art certainly didn't help either, though. Kolins' artwork is only like one notch above JRJ's, imo.

Maybe. It wasn't mentioned in this issue. Maybe I missed it?

He's amped on magic if anything imo:

Cracking with lightning, using the word Shazam to drain/transform all the other Shazam members.

I'm not sure why magic resistance = magic absorption but whatever. A lot of things just happened in this issue. It felt rushed.

Prolly all that recent DC upheaval in house has caused all kinds of scheduling issues. This feels sooo rushed.

Yeah. The art was meh. It wasnt even trying to be stylized.

I've seen the board turning incredibly pro -Marvel in recent years; lots of one sided nitpicking 👆
