I am always sad when I understand that superhero comic is unpopular even in western world.
For example,I have been disappointed at that people in vs related forum really don't read comic.
They love anime and manga rather than superhero comic.
For I am japanese, I love both western and eastern superhero.
But, despite popularity of drama and movie, superhero comic is unpopular in western internet.

Touché

Chinese comics are pretty neat too, or at the very least the one I've read.

Honestly, big name comics are a mess in story telling due to never ending nature and their subsequent sliding scale of time.

You have Bruce Banner and Parker looking the same as when Reagan was president and Billy Batson remaining 10 forever unless they do explicit time jumps into the future.

Comics are trash for stories. Great characters sure, great feats, sometimes great art, but trash story telling.

I disagree with "great characters," because you don't see a lot of development, and the few times that you do see it it's undone by the next writer who want to give his take on the character.

If you don't follow specific characters because you're a fan of, comics are only good under specific writers/arcs. To really enjoy them from a story point of view, that's what you have to follow -- not titles [single or teams].

I cant disagree.

But I meant great characters moreso as in iconic and meaningful culturally world wide.

The costumes does a lot for their marketability. That's why they're there in the first place.

I disagree with it.
Superhero comics have many masterpiece which is comprable to japanese manga's masterpiece.
I treat Superhero comic as myth or fairytale that many intepretation co-exist.
It is difficult to understand though, their potential can rival manga.

There's also a masterpiece like The X-men...

Wait, so DS isn't the only Chinaman here?

They always come in two. Master. And Apprentice.

Almost seems like DS is putting together his own Council.

I’m really glad Cates is making it clear why Thor doesn’t need Mjolnir.

The worst part of female Thor era was Thor being OOC to justify her existence. I’m glad he sounds like himself again.

so why does thor even have mjolnir? is it just a status symbol?

Focusing tool. *shrug*

Or it could be like that tattered stuffed animal or blankie a kid just cant get rid of. He has issues.

It always confused me

Mjolnir gives one the power of Thor. So.....Thor of all people shouldn't need it in the first place.
