What surprises me (and this is more so a problem with Marvel than DC) is that they keep hiring young inexperienced writers. If you're too young to know people then you're not going to write interesting characters, and if you've haven't had too many interesting experiences or ideas you're not going to write interesting stories.

But that pales in comparison to some of the artists Marvel keeps hiring. My grandparents have drawings from when I was eleven to twelve years-old where I display a better understanding for perspective and anatomy than some of these artists. Luckily this doesn't seem to be an issue for DC.

When did i refer to DB?
Shonen manga is translated well.
But, VN that VSBW often wank is not even officially translated.
So,there are countless misinformation or misconceptions.

In my country, Manga and anime are definitely more popular than comics.I'm an asian though.
Manga and anime are more easily to get into it unlike comics have complicated and long history
Also there are relatively less fans in comics, Thus less translators work on it
Although in my country, Lots of wankers who hardly ever read any comics wanking comic characters' power levels. They think thor is universal+ and odin is multiversal for crying out loud

I was talking more about platform for a political position. While Gundam is indeed full of politics, it at least pretends both sides have valid arguments, and doesn't really demonize one side or the other (Though individual villians certainly exist)

When people say politics in fiction these days they dont mean fictional government and stuff. No one is talking about Metal Gear Solid's whacky conspiracy stories for example.

They mean intersectional identity politics and school of thought being pushed in media.

It all has a right to exist but there is push back because the latter stuff has a tendency of trying to snuff out and censor non conforming media.

I also read manga and watch anime. But most are Slice of Life or Romance. So whenever somebody talking about DB or Gundam or something like that, I couldnt get a word in edgeways 🙁
