They won't win all the hearts and minds, but they'll still win where they really care about. I think I actually "like" only about 4 Star Wars films, but I keep paying to see the new ones, so I'm not exactly helping to hurt their wallets I've got enough tolerance to last until the ST is done then I'm finished with this franchise. There just isn't that much to it, really. And I don't think there ever was.

If they ever get the balls to leave the original Lucas era characters and themes behind, I'm back on board. We've been watching the Skywalkers and Co. deal with the Empire/Rebellion stuff for 42 years now. Enough. Pick another timeline, write wholly separate and original characters, and have them do something other than argue over the same two things--Jedi or Sith, Empire or Republic. Even the EU was loaded to the brim with that derivative recycling.

Jedi and Sith stuff is the only thing that separates Star Wars from more mediocre sci-fi, like the original Battlestar Galactica.

The early EU wasn't Jedi VS Sith, either - it was usually boring (Non-Skywalker) characters VS smugglers, Empire, etc.

Or Luke VS a rogue-Jedi with Down Syndrome (Desann, Kueller, etc)

Jedi VS Sith is really the most interesting thing about Star Wars - and it really hasn't been explored much in the movies in terms of it's overall-history and potential.

i don't get it. where are the sacred dvd's? are they behind the three elaborately packaged drink coasters? 😛

Some very interesting potential spoilers:

makingstarwars is usually quite reliable.

nothing about the uss enterprise. *hope dwindling*

shit's gettin weird, yo

^ I wonder if that cover is a depiction of the 'force flash' concept the article mentions..? mmm

I would bet on it. It was already shown that matter can pass between their locations during their "meetings", but wow this is really pushing it. I guess soon they'll just be able to create their own worm hole for instant travelling like guild navigators.

Reflection = weird?

Wow, weird, yo!

It's just some dumb metaphorical-reflection BS.

I'm not mad, but if you want to be mad and shit your bed, go for it.

Also, I'm looking forward to purchasing that book for cheap at Goodwill, so I can use it as toilet paper.

Literally.

I'm curious what purpose this 'force flash' serves in the movie, tbh(assuming the spoiler is indeed legit.)

I get that the force connects all of time/space, but *why* have them 'porting to a bunch of different locations every time they clash..? What is the reason for it to even be shown in this film?

I see no point at all but to set up the most confusing and nauseating duel ever. *shrug*

We're actually in agreement that the concept is dumb af, but you're the only one permatriggered over another children's movie. 👆

We have common-ground!

Almost.

I have the high-ground. 😄
