Nope. Never was.

As mentioned, Snoke did not cause/create the bridge between Rey and Kylo -- he just tapped-into/exploited a natural connection that was already present between them. After all, their minds were still bridged in this final sequence from TLJ:

Confirmed in the novelization:

As Kylo stared at the dice he sensed something else--a tremor in the Force, the prelude to a familiar connection. He stared at Rey. She stared back at him, her gaze level and unafraid. There was no hatred in her eyes, as there once had been. But there was no compassion, either. A moment later Rey severed the connection, leaving Kylo alone in the gloom with his father's dice resting in the palm of his upraised hand.

-TLJ

And by that time Snoke was already quite dead, so yeah...

Well, if the Force link can make Rey and Ben travel through physical space it'd be conceivable that it also makes them displace through time. That could explain how Palpatine fits in everything.

Thanks to the existence of The World Between Worlds, we know the force does indeed bridge/connect all of time and space in canon... So I suppose it would be possible.

...Especially since all of the planets/landscapes they 'port to during their battle are supposedly places we've seen in previous films and whatnot.

And it would make the most sense thematically too. It's opposed to Ren's "Let the Past Die" as we'd find out everything is connected through the Force and by bridging into the past movies they'd also make it a true Ending for the whole Saga.

So there is some kind of a natural bond between Kylo and Rey.

I thought so since they still had the bond after Snoke died.

It was implied in the TLJ novelization that Snoke just exploited a force connection that was already present between them.
But it sounds like that connection is going to be taken to a ridiculous level in Ep.IX... Especially if you believe the leaks(and I do.)

That Narnia shit made by the Toy Story people?

"We're doing it in two phases. The first is Star Wars animation, which is CG 3-dimensional animation, like a Toy Story, that takes place during the period of the Clone Wars that takes place between Episodes 2 and 3. And that we're setting for Fall of 2007. Preproduction is underway, we're doing animation test, people are working on initial scripts. So we're well under way on that. And George is very much taking hand and is very much part of the whole process. I know some people thought maybe he would just hey "hey, go do it," but George is Star Wars and he's always gonna be very closely involved in this."

- Steve Sansweet

That's not Canon.

And I know "The World Between Worlds" was made for Rebels, but it's made by the same people who wanted a "Toy Story Star Wars".

But yeah, that ridiculous shit is Non-Canon.

I suppose tying one type of Non-Canon shit to another, works.

But it definitely won't be a "true ending" to the same Saga that made Mark Hamill break down in tears, once he realized Disney was destroying it.

^ The toy story reference is in regards to the type of cg animation.

What are you saying isnt Canon? TCW was both part of the old Canon and part of the new Disney one as well. So TCW (seasons 1-6 at least) is canon whichever way you look at it.

TCW and Rebels is obviously canon.

Suggesting otherwise is just flagrant trolling.

They have declared their intention to have this trilogy to be an end to the whole saga. My hypothesis makes fits the spirit of that agenda.

It's how I feel in my heart about the Disney garbage, just like Mark Hamill.

It's important that a person is able to speak their heart, and I think you would agree with that.

All I’m really getting from this whole Force flash thing, it it’s just gonna be flashy and pull on nostalgia to make it better than what it could be tbh.

Pretending like canon material isn't canon is ridiculous, though.

You may not like the fact that it's canon, but that doesn't change the fact that it IS canon nonetheless.

TCW was Canon prior to the Disney takeover.

Lucas invested many hours into that show.

Eh maybe he’ll be back when EP 9 gets closer. He kept raving about how the characters were soooo much better than the previous ones.

Yeah he was trying too hard to be a fan of the NU Star Wars.
