The "triggered" thread. 500 pages of people on here getting angry about the most ridiculous things ever. It's not really assumption, is it?!

Don't see you posting any "real" stories in that thread, so you're complaining about something you're also guilty of.

Saying “my point proven^” does not prove anything beyond your inability or unwillingness to debate points.

If you are unable or unwilling to offer a rebuttal, just say so.

Agreed.

double post

A rebuttal to what? Whether a kid with a smug face and a MAGA hat face to face with an warbling old man with a drum is the front lines in the culture war? It's not

My argument was how about how angry idiots get over this non issue. The fact that you're going on about death threats to kids proves what?

That's right....say it with me now.

That idiots are getting far too angry about this non-issue.

If you think media exercising immense power with practically no accountability and responsibility to a point where kids can get harassed with death threats over wearing a hat and smiling is a non-issue, you may wanna look in the mirror before throwing around the word “idiot”.

Imagine getting angry at a news report of a kid wearing a hat. Who does that? That's right...idiots.

Who gets angry at idiots getting angry at news reports?

Other idiots.

As for accountability of news and media. What's the current favourite saying among certain groups? Get Woke, Go Broke?

If you feel that strongly about it, organise to hit them in the pocket. Pressure adverisers to pull out etc.

Don't have to imagine people getting angry over non-issues, we just have to read your posts.

Actually people were angry that the news reports lead to death threats and doxxing of the kids. Why does that make them idiots?

It's almost like you can't read.

Are you still crying about what other people find interesting?

See? This is the problem. You do not understand the underlying issue that is being discussed here. Again, don’t throw around the word “idiot” when you only seem to want to look at things at the surface level.

The audience isn’t the only primary issue here. While it can be argued that on the audience side, there are definitely idiots all over the place (it’s the masses, what do you expect?), that is not the only issue here. The problem is multifaceted. And one of the things we’re discussing here is the media (the information provider) exercising so much power and so much irresponsibility with so little accountability and oversight that something as idiotic as this became a national/semi-global issue. Can’t you see that? Think man.

This issue is actually pretty damned important, because if they can do it to a kid wearing a hat and smiling, it can happen to anyone and the damage to one’s personal life is enormous (and if it didn’t go viral: irreparable). Stop looking at the surface and dig a little deeper. And if you can’t, then let the adults talk since you can’t seem to get further than that.

We need to call ppl in power out, not just the politicians once we see corruption. Edit. Pressed submit reply by accident when I tried to scroll down screen (using Ipad).

And yes, we are more than happy to “hit them in the pocket”. But you’re in a gotdang website where ppl get into heated debates about w/c superhero would win in a fight. Why TF are you complaining about irrelevant useless crap being discussed here???

Neat, read this: most were upset at the slander of the teens, the death threats, the doxxing.

Remember when David Hogg and his family received death threats and doxxing? This guy remembers. This guy also doesn't remember the outrage then. It's almost like it isn't really about kids being threatened.

Remember when Hogg used PR firms and had private security and no leftist weasels screamed "white privilege"?

This guy remembers.

Nope, I for one don't remember the media lying about him or journalists and celebrities calling for violence against him. feel free to post examples.

Nib, for some reason it never lets me quote you properly.

I did laugh at your last point. That was a good one.

The rest of it?

Calm down, man. You'll give yourself an aneurism.
