Only he didn't rush to judgement, this thread was posted over two weeks after the "attack", after a lot more information was released through various sources.
If the events are still unfolding, the investigation is still ongoing, and the facts are not all in, then it is a rush to judgment. Remember, people are innocent until proven guilty. We are not supposed to presume guilt until it is proven in a court of law. ✅

You obviously don't know what "rush to judgement" means.
Edit: just putting this here so I don't have to double post
I still think maybe this is a hit on Smollett.
We're all assuming the brothers and Smollett were in on it together. But this is just SO sloppy, and so OBVIOUSLY something that could blow up in your face.
And here's another question: Where did all these sources come from, who claim they were paid off? Why would Smollett or the brothers spout off about such a scheme?
Flip the script, and this is a near perfect way to smear someone. An attack is arranged, and really happens, as Smollett says. They shout about "Maga country. Then, arranged "leaks" cast doubt on the story.
Why smear him?
Remember when he threatened to quit the show, because his character was shot? He was really making a fus, rocking the boat.
So, he pissed off some of the higher ups. Only, they can't just fire him.. Firing an openly gay, popular character would be a PR nightmare
So, you set him up. Put the Nigerians up to it (Who work for the same guys Smollett does, and thus are available to his bosses), arrange the leaks, work the media against him, and turn his fans against him. Or worse.. Doesn't matter, as long as you be rid of him, and retaliate for his earlier threats.
Unlike other false case like this, I don't think Jussie is going to avoid punishment for his celebrity status. The MSM is absolutely dogging him right now, so clearly the liberal propaganda machine have abandoned him. As such I think that the CPD are going to make an example of him and give him some jail time, especially considering that they will be hitting him with a felony charge of false police reporting.

And yet the brothers were released without charge.Like I said, there's too many questions here.
To me, the question is simple: Did Pussie Smaggot plan this bullshit by himself, or were there higher ups in the Empire crew (i.e. Lee Daniels), or even possibly politicians (Kamala Harris' suspicious anti-lynching bill right after this happened) who participated in the hoax?

Legally, yes. But with modern science and evidence, the processional activities of the archaic justice system do not take precedence over facts.
In the face of overwhelming evidence, you're allowed to have a differing opinion than a jury of usually ignorant and misinformed/manipulated people.

But your attempt at being dishonest while hiding behind archaic criminal justice methodologies (and as a vocal leftist, you should probably be protesting against the sexist and racist jury trials, right?), in spite of overwhelming facts, has been noted. I understand you would die a thousand painful deaths if you were honest enough to admit Jussie is a giant piece of shit.
I'll make it clearer: an indictment does not mean innocent or guilty.
An acquittal verdict does not mean innocent or guilty.
It's a system that usually works, though.

I found their release without charges odd too. There's nothing stopping them from bailing the phuck back to Nigeria should the police wish to press charges in the future now.
I think that between the apartment raid and their confessions, the cops got everything they wanted out of the brothers. They're turning all their attention on Jussie now

If Jussie is guilty of a crime(s) here, so are they. Why I found it odd they were let go with nothing charged at all while the police seemingly believe Jussie is guilty?. Unless they plan on picking them up again at a later date. But as noted, if Jussie gets dinged, they better pick up the brothers quick as they're a flight risk.
This story just doesn't add up in a nice clean way. Lots of weirdness.

Apparently, they were born and raised in America, and are American citizens, and it is their parents who are Nigerian immigrants. I suppose if they had dual citizenship, and were faced with a lengthy prison term, they would consider fleeing to Nigeria. But if you were born and raised in America, is Nigeria really a place you would prefer to live if you had a choice?

Okay, did not know that. The Rightist news I read made it seem like there were Nigerian (ie scary) immigrants. Thanks for the info and clearing up my ignorance here.
Okay so it seems there now might be a chance he goes to jail lol. Not for the fake hate crime, but if it's him who mailed the letter...that's federal crimes now. They might nail him on it...if he did it. And I think he did, if he did this hate crime it just seems quite likely he sent the letter too. He ground up some aspirin and put it in the letter lol.
