Sign a statement under penalty of false statement on Form ED-681 entitled, "Signatures of Electors Who Did Not Present ID", provided by the Secretary of the State that the elector whose name appears on the official check list is the same person who is signing the form.
The nuclear option for those without any form of ID at all in CT.
How secure this thing is, who can say? For all we know, nobody ever really follows up on these things, and if someone does get caught in a lie they're probably long gone.
A lot of news outlets continue to reinforce the mantra that voter fraud isn't the issue. Casting doubt on the process is.
You know what makes me doubt our process? It isn't Trumps claims, oh no.
It's the relatively recent history of our officials completely ****ing up very basic things with the Affordable Care Act registration.
These assholes couldn't even make a website that any 15 year old with coding interest could design properly. And we're supposed to believe it when they tell us "Don't worry, we have everything under control."

Obama Faces Progressive Backlash for Disparaging 'Snappy' Slogans Like 'Defund the Police'
He's right though. Them bitching about it shows this is about feelings and not getting anything done. Any slogan you need to stop to explain is not a good slogan.
It is similar to Colin Kaepernick and his kneeling. It's not about if it was right or wrong, but we know the results: little to nothing was done about the topic he claimed was causing him to kneel The majority of the conversation was wrapped up around if his kneeling was offensive.
And that one woman brought up Michael Brown lol. They're f*cking stupid. Obama is kindly trying to help them so they can do well in 2022. He can't be too blunt about it cuz they will cry. Then again maybe he should have been since tears flowed anyways.
Originally posted by SurturI mean that is more of the fault of the people that decided they would rather ignore the topics of conversation and attack the slogans or ways people are protesting.

It's a common tactic for people to employ when they don't actually want to engage the other side.
"Oh I would love to talk to you about <insert topic> but your banner has the wrong color so instead I'm going to focus on that so secretly I don't have to talk about the <insert topic> that makes me feel uneasy and without looking like a terrible human for not caring about <insert topic>"

It's really not. Some people genuinely feel they legit meant defund the police. Especially older people. They weren't trying to ignore the suffering of black people or anything like that.

I see, so kinda like responding to what someone says with "reeeeeee".

Happens all the time anyone talks about evil bankers or landlords.
Because a lot of bankers and landlords are Jewish, so you get inevitable accusations of anti-semitism.
Fact is, a lot of landlords absolutely price out black tenants, and nobody is really addressing the issue right now (One politician tried, but he was kind of a scumbag and used the exact phrase "Greedy Jewish landlords", so not really helping.)

And no them posting "reeeeee" isn't the same. That's them mocking you directly and explicitly saying they don't care about what you're saying.

Listening to the other side goes both ways: the slogan is bad and divisive.

No, they use it to ignore valid arguments when they have no valid critique. So it's quite similar.

You see it with BLM too. It invites the question(that I feel is valid) of "what about all the black lives black people take? Why don't they care about those lives?".
HCA. Hold Cops Accountable. A much better slogan, less open to attack and less divisive.
Originally posted by SurturActually it doesn't.

If I'm on fire and yell, "GRAB THAT FLAG AND PUT ME OUT" and the people go ,"Well that seems incredibly unpatriotic I think I'm going to just let sit here and watch you burn while scorning you for daring to desecrate the flag"
Listening does not go both ways here. At least not equally. People are asking for help they shouldn't also be the ones to placate your stubborn feelings while they do it. :/

It's like you are incapable of acknowledging when they make an error and yes the slogan was an error. As is any slogan you need to research to understand.
If you want to essentially go with the argument of "well people are too stupid or lazy to understand" then okay. Good luck with that. Progressives standing in the way of progress over a damn slogan lol.

Like not sure how to make that anymore clear to you.
