We have a healthcare problem in the south.
Its the same as why were ranked below other countries that we shouldnt be in things like healthcare, education, violent crimes etc... Its becaus the southern part of our country brings our national average in these categories way down (or in the case of violent crime, way up).

Well said raptor🙂 One of the challanges we face in the USA is that our states are semi-autonomous nations essentially. Just for simplicity we are like an EU and that means not all states provide the same services/opportunites etc.

And the primary problem in the US Healthcare system is the focus on making people better instead of keeping people healthy. Reactive instead of preventative. That and the run-away cost problem. You can see this concept reflected in our performance compared to others. We are great at a couple of reactive areas (reacting to cancer and post-operation stuff) but significantly worse in all other areas. So much so that we are below some 3rd world countries.
