We don't really have muckrakers anymore. Vice News tries to be the new-age muckrakers but their "journalism" is mired with dishonest SJW biases. They'd like to be the cutting edge journalists uncovering hidden truths. And they get close, sometimes. But their agenda gets in the way.

Double ironic: Capitalism rather than communism is defined by criticism of authoritative figures, using the power of free speech to keep them in check, and accountable to the people, for the people.

You spend too much time watching CNN (Try Reuters and Bloomberg), there are far more nuanced news-sources, and yes, Trump is criticized a lot, but that's because he's an easy target, current media is driven by lazy/click-bait journalism, and he is quite honestly, dumb AF.

Disclaimer: I think the press has always been biased AF and the idea of non-biased journalism, is a myth. There are some really good journalists, but a majority tow the party line.
