Ironic, because the only two countries that were hesitant about this were actually China, and Russia.Double ironic: Capitalism rather than communism is defined by criticism of authoritative figures, using the power of free speech to keep them in check, and accountable to the people, for the people.
You spend too much time watching CNN (Try Reuters and Bloomberg), there are far more nuanced news-sources, and yes, Trump is criticized a lot, but that's because he's an easy target, current media is driven by lazy/click-bait journalism, and he is quite honestly, dumb AF.
Disclaimer: I think the press has always been biased AF and the idea of non-biased journalism, is a myth. There are some really good journalists, but a majority tow the party line.
What needs to happen is the press needs to stop clutching their pearls whenever they are criticized. Especially when all they do is criticize Trump.
If you can't take the heat...leave the kitchen.
Someone on CNN said Trump not going to the White House Correspondents Dinner is an attack on the press lol. That is the level of utter derangement we're at.
