Ironic, because the only two countries that were hesitant about this were actually China, and Russia.

Double ironic: Capitalism rather than communism is defined by criticism of authoritative figures, using the power of free speech to keep them in check, and accountable to the people, for the people.

You spend too much time watching CNN (Try Reuters and Bloomberg), there are far more nuanced news-sources, and yes, Trump is criticized a lot, but that's because he's an easy target, current media is driven by lazy/click-bait journalism, and he is quite honestly, dumb AF.

Disclaimer: I think the press has always been biased AF and the idea of non-biased journalism, is a myth. There are some really good journalists, but a majority tow the party line.

What needs to happen is the press needs to stop clutching their pearls whenever they are criticized. Especially when all they do is criticize Trump.

If you can't take the heat...leave the kitchen.

Someone on CNN said Trump not going to the White House Correspondents Dinner is an attack on the press lol. That is the level of utter derangement we're at.

Maybe so, but there used to be muck rakers, a.k.a. investigative journalists, who dug into all kinds of high risk power, from mobsters to the CIA. A story like that made careers, and sometimes resulted in reporters being murdered (There's a list on Wikipedia of assassinated journalists.)

You don't really see that sort of thing anymore. Last I remember offhand, is Michael Hastings investigating the CIA, but he died in a car accident before the story broke (Of course, accompanied by conspiracies theories that his car was hacked. And to be fair, Hastings himself was scared of being targeted, and begged a friend to borrow his car, which was denied him..)

So why did the administration put up a fuss, anyways?

What possible problem could they have with the wording?

Apparently they felt some of the language in there was pro abortion.

Not surprising. Trump is a cuckboi who sucks Saudi dick, and we know how much Desert Mormons love misogyny...

Why are you racist against the desert?

If anyone just reads the opening article, you’ll see clear liberal language being used in it- suggesting the US to send more money over to foreign countries to provide abortions, lol. No shit, the Trump administration opposed it- it’s ludicrous.

Here is my question: after the UN refused a resolution to condemn Hamas...what room do they have to whine about anything?
