There is a great docu-drama on netflix called "Wormwood" about a scientist for the CIA who essentially was killed by MK Ultra. It was officially reported as a "suicide". Later it was a "wrongful death".

The family even got to visit the White House and actually got an apology from Gerald R Ford. Think about that, how many people have gotten a personal apology...in the white house, from the president(and CIA Director), for something our government did?
