Flash vs Superman

Could Superman prep to reach Flash’s top speed, or exceed it? I’m just saying that if it happened in a comic I wouldn’t be at all surprised. Like I said, it’s Superman, it’s not peoples fault for the crazy shit that they have him do rarely.

idk but there's no prep in the thread

i agree about how a comic would go, though.

if it's not transparent already, this thread is asking whether Superman's whole aura (which is somewhat PIS, somewhat KMC masturbation, and somewhat *canon superpower*) is superior to Flash's whole shtick (which is somewhat *canon superpower*, somewhat KMC masturbation, and somewhat PIS)

@Stoic...

What way could he have found here to increase his speed...

Explain, please.

Carver has a nickname for every situation.

How can we be 100% sure his Chocolate Hands don't enter our cavities when we're sleeping?

While we're at it, let's flip the question: what are the instances of a Flash (or any variation thereof) straight up winning against Superman (or any variation thereof)?

Maybe specific datapoints will move this thread along.

Excellent idea.

Surprised this 1 wasn't discussed more often:

Legend says that if you whisper "carver" 3 times in the middle of the night you'll see your phone floating.

A massive enough dose of sunlight. Out of character I know, but if he were able to prep, he would become much more powerful. Prep could mean something as little as using a Mother Box to transport him to a brighter star.

I’m saying that Superman is treated in a way that allows him to overcome just about every obstacle. It’s just the way that it is. If you are unable to get used to this, you’re destined to continue to be frustrated over it.

Under normal circumstances, your argument is with someone else. I’m not blind.

However, Superman breaks the wheels off of shit when needed by plot.

^ Pretty sure Superman flying towards the Sun would be a self-BFR. That'd be like Wally disappearing into the Speedforce to retcon the timestream so Superman never existed. And there's no prep in this thread.

Flash is treated the sane way as well.

These abnormal circumstances also apply to Wally.

So does Wally. These are all unextraordinary statements of fact.

It's because they know Flash is better

All Superman needs to do is hit him once.
Skill, reflexes or luck. All it takes is a finger flick to turn the flash into mush. Serious Superman headbutts flash’s fist for the win.

But how does he remove the effects of a speed steal? It’s the question that I will never be able to answer. Superman losing to the Flash isn’t the worst thing. If he lost to Plastic Man, that would be a big thing.

He’s Superman, if he wants to, he overpowers that shit.

This is what happens if Superman wants to end the flash

^ Can you really analogize a corrupted ALE-possessed Barry Allen with a Flash trying to save everyone?

no but if Superman were to connect just once, the results would be the same.

Flash speed stealing from superman requires him to touch superman since Superman isn’t a speed force speedster.

One new power introduced in 2016 is Superman’s ability to redirect the kinetic energy of his movement to a body part like his fist.
Let the flash attempt to speed steal by making contact with that fist.
I’m sure the flash will be able to absorb the energy but the momentum of Superman’s fist, making contact, could kill the flash.

Is this true?

Also if it were, wouldn't the speed steal slow/stop Superman from blowing right through him?

Here’s wallly explaining it.
