Mind you, Superman straight up blitzed the same Amazo until he used red sunlight.

When he took his superspeed away. We see Amazo with his arm raised, frozen in the same pose.

Here’s wallly explaining it.

My more specific question was whether physical contact is required for the speedsteal to happen. I recall during instances of speed lending, physical contact isn’t required??? but I don’t recall all instances of speedstealing.

My bad I didn’t respond to that part. I realized it after but didn’t get around to answering it. As far as I know he needs to make contact. Jay had to physically grab Superman to steal his speed.

He's already attacking League after that while Wally was out of the fight.

Funny, Amazo didn't got turn into a statue.

Saint used to have a "hobby" of posting numerous scans of Wally just making eye-contact with his targets, then stealing their speed.

Now he's going to re-post those all over again.

And here we hoped he wouldn't relapse...

We’re those speedsters?

I've seen flash steal speed multiple times without making any physical contact. Why is this an actual question?

Last panel. Amazo is a statue. In this thread, what's stopping Flash from rinsing and repeating?

I mean, in some occasions it was Superman.

He's not a statue, Flash is simply running off.

You conveniently left out the next page where Amazo is shockingly not a statue.

He was a statue in that panel. As I said, whether it wore off or not is moot.

Flash turn him into a statue for the equivalent of one comic panel. Superman.....recharges his kinetic energy or whatever.

Flash does it again. He recharges. Flash does it again. Etc etc etc.

Superman will be constantly stuck in that last comic panel.

@ smurph,

sorry man, not ignoring you, missed your post,

Ok let’s say I’ll accept that Wally can speed steal within close proximity without physical contact. Eventhough we don’t know if contact was made in that scan that was posted earlier. They were flying in small Circles all the flash needed to do was to tap superman while speaking with him.

But let’s say Wally is able to speed steal without contact.

in a forum battle, Wally starts off with speed steal and Superman starts with a bull rush.
In the scan that was used by phil earlier, wally speaks of speed stealing. There’s a reason he didn’t speed steal there, why? Because he tells us that Superman wasn’t going lo just stop and become a statue. He was afraid that he would become a bullet going thousands of miles an hour. Bottom right of the scan.

Superman’s bull rush momentum carries him in Wally’s direction, the momentum creates kinetic energy. Superman can transfer that energy into his finger tips and finger flicks it while passing Wally for the KO.
Superman just needs one hit, while Wally could put in a 1000 years of punches into one punch and still not be able to ko Superman.

Side note, I’m not using this in the argument but it should be mentioned.
Superman has control of the kinetic energy in his body, theoretically he could even resist Wally from stealing it long enough to ko him.

Superman’s control of kinectic energy was first mentioned in Action Comics #49 by Pak.

if your speed is stolen, you can’t really do anything right? Lmao, prepare for pain buddy. I’ll get lawest9 to take his turn at you after me.

Is it in?

Full Capacity Flash could easily ko Superman with enough IMP punches or just immobilize him with speed steal and bfr him.

Amazo was never a statue to begin with, no implications that the effects wore off or something.

I never knew that the speed steal could wear off? I mean what about being frozen in time for what may as well be a million years?

That was only once, done to Inertia.

Thought Flash stole HIS speed from Amazo but Amazo still had Superman and Diana speed. This was confirmed in his fight against Diana.
