except he would, speed steal is in his arsenal, and he's done so multiple times, this isn't a plot comic situation where writer decide not to have wally use his full abilities to make the comic less interesting, it's a forum match. You can apply that same logic to superman considering he rarely ever use microcobic heat vision to lobotomise somebody despite being bloodlusted

I honestly don't know if the speed steal would work (though I think it would). I do think, though, that Wally is likely to try either way. He's done it enough times, and has flat out considered it while being chased by Superman.
But speed stealing Superman and putting a “everything is on the line” Supes down are two different things. Feels like the debate so far is just focused on that first step.
