US covid deaths hit 244K today

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Looks like the US is still on track to be at or slightly over/under 300k by end of year.

I don't want people to die but I am curious to see if folk will be consistent and blame Biden for any deaths that occur after January 20th.

But you surely agree that managing a pandemic from zero cases is a less hopeless case than we have now. It's too late, and this thing is out of the bag. Just ride it out now... Back in March we had a chance and we blew it, that's all. Chance is over.

If he acts like a reckless idiot regarding covid-19, absolutely. But Biden's also inheriting Trump's epic mess on handling covid-19. You won't like this fact.

I also agree that anyone who blamed Trump for deaths best be consistent under biden 👆

Ah, so we already have the spin.

You weasels are so predictable. You won't like this fact 🙂

I guarantee he won't be on tv saying it is what it is. Donald Trump is responsible for deaths because he downplayed this thing from the very beginning, urging people not to take precautions, ignoring fauci, urging reopening too early.

This thing is now out of control. That is squarely on Donald Trump. The difference is obvious, it doesn't even need defended.

Okie dokie, hypocrisy noted.

Exactly. Trump's handling of this thing is the problem, not that it happened. He could have won re-election easily if he had handled this thing well-- he decided if he lost the economy, he couldn't win, so he put Covid 2nd, and ironically, that cost him the election. If he had acted like a wartime president, and got this pandemic under control early, he could have won 60 percent of the vote last week. He just kept playing politics in a time when America just needed to be americans, and not Democrats or Republicans.

I mean, it's not like I didn't know excuses would be made.

Oh and while we're discussing it: any school shootings under Biden? Oh you best blame him too 🙂

I'll be here to keep you consistent so if one happens and you forget to blame I shall remind you. No need to thank me.

You keep forgetting that no one likes biden- I don't think anyone is going to waste time arguing with you trying to defend him, but watching you try to complain about him to a bunch of people who don't care should be fun.

Agreed. The US was never going to skate by covid-19, but it didn't have to be this bad and the problem started at the very top with "We got it under control", "In a few days we'll be down to zero cases" etc. Trump should have taken covid-19 seriously from the start like Obama did with SARS and Ebola.

How could they vote for him if they didn't like him? Voting for Trump cuz you didn't like Hillary was seen as wrong.

Why is this okay?

I voted for Hillary because I didn't like Trump, so I'm not sure what you are calling wrong.

This wasn't about you personally, it was about the idea that votes for trump that were not votes for him but repudiations of Hillary were wrong.

By that logic, someone who despises Biden but votes for him anyways cuz Trump would also be wrong.

It's good you aren't hypocritical like those folks though.

I didn't think that was wrong-- I was the person horrified that we couldn't get someone better to run against Trump, either time. Id love to see Bernie and Trump debate.

That's fair. Hillary was a bad choice.
