I just found out today that the lockdown has killed one of my friends' parents' business.

They have to sell their house and downsize.

While your story is obviously made up, there are real life instances like that and those are terrible.

The lockdowns did save lives though.

It’s clear he cares about the life of a business more than humans. Particularly someone he knows.
