Superman has outright destroyed a planet though, so at the very least one wouldn't need a statement such as that.

No.

What Power Girl is saying here is that real heroes weren't retarded enough to blindly follow Luthor, they just pretended to follow the orders.

He honestly believes that just because he's president we'd just blindly follow his orders.

Neither Stewart nor Pierce even tried attacking Supes and Bats ----- so no surprise PG is saying they can be trusted out of that group.

Stop being so hungry for feats, man.

Atom, Force (especially Force) and Starfire --- those three we can be sure about, that they weren't pulling their punches.

The ****, man?

Image contacted DC and wanted to do a cross-over battle putting Superman against Supreme. Power-set against power-set. Feats ment nothing because both company's let the hero win to impress fans and sell books. Not fan voted like on KMC or any other site. Skill vs skill etc. It was determined that Supreme would beat Superman by both company's. DC for the sake of not wanting their flagship hero to lose backed out. Image contacted Marvel and Marvel responded with Gladiator. Same challenge. Even fight was determined. That's why the writer of that book said that Supreme was more powerful than Superman. And in that book they brought up Superman because DC chickened out because they knew Superman would have lost.

Even if that was true (and I doubt it), it would still be wholly irrelevant to the thread. So kindly stop bringing it up.

Plus the ambiguity of "destroy".

Simply causing extinction level events on populated worlds can be considered "destroying worlds", without breaking it into pieces.

DC was wrong in their assessment. Even at his "weak" Post Crisis era, he had tremendous feats.

No surprise management made this assumption, at the time it was their official policy to have a depowered Superman. This was shortly after the Crisis, and Superman wasn't winning fist fights in his own magazines, because DC didn't WANT him to solve problems by punching them.

That has no bearing on current Superman.

No man of steel is beating Supreme. That covers Current Superman who has the same power-set.

He never had "soul vision".

He also wasn't able to travel to distant galaxies under his own power. Up in the Sky never could have happened as it did.

What do you want me to say?

That it makes perfect sense for GL and BL to try to fry the world's finest duo... just because Luthor told them to?

Sorry, no.

Out of the group, you have three combatants actually willing to harm Supes/Bats; one lawful good character, one chaotic evil character and one that was manipulated and held a grudge against Clark.

Stewart and Pierce were experienced heroes and their friends; they knew better... as confirmed by Power Girl.

Only abhis and deltas of this site like to pretend that Bruce and Clark shitstomped that team in a fair fight.

You Don't have to believe it. DC comics believe it. But anyway, let me ask you this. Who do you think wins here??

Yeah, but it doesn't matter whether I agree with you or not. I asked you a simple question and you had to be a dick about it.

Prove DC believes it. Show me a comic written by DC where it was stated. Show me feats by Supreme that put him beyond Superman. Hell, even name the issue numbers and I can go see them myself.

As I said way, way back at the start of the thread, I don't know anything about Supreme, so I have no idea who would win.

THERE IS NOTHING ANY VERSION OF SUPREME HAS ACHIEVED THAT SUPERMAN HASN'T EXCEEDED!!!

JBL and Hulkster prove different!

Not really relevant considering Darksaint was responding to your question.

"Ozy catch's bullets. Has Iron Fist ever caught a bullet?"

"Why yes. Yes he has."

"Well.. So has Ozy!"

The reason I'm acting dickish is because it's the 9999th time we've had this conversation. So I'm starting to believe you have some hidden agenda here, which reminds me of the posters I'm mentioned.

It's a comic written by Loeb; it's not rocket science. There's no need to overanalyze it.

But fine, let's do it anyway.

Stewart:

1) We know that Stewart can tag and even hurt Superman with the ring's energy, if he really wants to.

2) He doesn't try to attack Superman in either encounter. He only briefly assists Major Force, who can't fly on his own.

3) Once Superman starts giving them orders, Stewart is the first to listen.

4) Hell, Stewart was the first to actually save the duo from hordes of supervillains.

Black Lightning:

1) Much like Stewart, he never tries to harm the duo.

2) Gets batgrappled by Batman. Does he break free? No, he waits for Bats to take care of others... and gets batgrappled again and incapacitated.

3) He doesn't question Superman's orders when Major Force is leaking energy, either.

Unlike Starfire, who was protesting.

Even Captain Atom needed some convincing from the Batman to help.

Pretty much.

Especially as Hulkster were 'just asking'.

And Dark wasn't disputing it. Do you even read before replying or just argue for the sake of it?
