Well this looks like the exact same movie....ermm

Looks pretty different to me. But then again, I haven't seen the original film since it was first released in theaters.

Outside the New Superman scenes and the Darkseid ones...the action is the same save the New Stephenwolf design.

Snyder always specialized in that. We still need to wait for the final product to see if it's really different.

And even if it *is* different... almost any director could've accomplished that, having so much time and nothing else to do.

I don't know what the purpose of this is. If they want this to replace the theatrical version in continuity - and James Wan & Patty Jenkins are being good soldiers, saying they consider the Snydercut to be canon over the other one - they need it to at least get a limited theatrical release. Otherwise, this is more along the lines of Robert Wise's Director's Cut of Star Trek: The Motion Picture - a better, more rounded product that still ends the same, but doesn't change anything.

Is it because it couldn't be anything BUT better than the theatrical version, a Frankenstein mediocre monstrosity? So all Zack Snyder had to do was go to lengths unreasonable for any first theatrical release - a bloated four hour running time, plus another $70 million to do the VFX properly? As if the first film wasn't expensive enough...but hey, it's not my money.

Is this all to get out from under the cloud of embarrassment that's hung over the DCEU for years? Hell, according to the Crisis event in the Arrowverse (an event that had Brandon Routh playing both Ray Palmer AND Superman, lol) the DCEU isn't even the Prime Universe, if it was considered that at one time. All that matters is what Earth Robert Pattison's upcoming Batman is from.

Maybe this film could be an improvement over the previous one, but just one thing matters to me: that Zack Snyder is done making superhero films for DC & Warners. They promised that once upon a time, after the theatrical version belly flopped in theatres. The problems the DCEU is in, eight years after it started, he deserves a large portion of the blame.

Imp is CORRECT when he says that you can't polish a turd.. of course the Snyder Cunt cult when say the cgi is better blah blah. the Snyder cult better hope this piece of dogshit brings in tens of millions of subs for HBOMAX.. I dont to worry though as I'll torrent the shit out of it.

It's not entirely impossible that'll it'll end up average.

The re-cut of BvS improved it a lot.

The problem with this is that no amount of re-editing can mitigate the fact that there was practically zero chemistry between the characters and that several of which were terrible in and of themselves.
