The death of George Floyd/Chauvin guilty

They do.

Some of same expert witnesses also admit the initial response was appropriate because he was resisting, and feigning shortness of breath is a common tactic.

Defense will probably double down on attacking his character to sow doubt he was the sort to "fake it".

"Dr. Martin Tobin, a renowned pulmonary expert tasked by the state of Minnesota to assess George Floyd’s death, testified on Thursday at Derek Chauvin’s trial that Floyd died of oxygen deprivation caused by the former officer’s restraint of him" - snip

Considering Floyd died of oxygen deprivation, not so sure the "but he was faking it" angle will work.

They'll argue they aren't doctors, and had no way of knowing this at the time.

Or something.

Not defending them here, just hypothesizing how they'll try and defend this. The "He was a baddie", and "Lots of people fake it", and "honest mistake, really!" are likely go-to's. Make them think you made a bad call that would have been right 99% of the time, ect..

Hes dead and buried. People keep comparing BLM to the past Civil rights reforms but the legislative and social effects really aren't there. Apart from pissing off fascists and mentally retarded Trump supporters, all Floyd's death has done is just become one more statistic of dead black men killed by White cops. When will other minorities matter?????????????

I know the trial is going on but it seems like it was manslaughter and the policeman should serve justice.

I think it was intentional too.

They said from the start that they knew each other. Had a history of some kind, unsure if friendship.

But it does make you wonder if there was something personal going on there.

That's easy to say when you're more than a half-century down the road from one movement, but in the midst of the other. All of the same criticisms levied at BLM today were also levied at those movements of the past, including ones like this. ermm

The prosecution punched a hole in the defense's attempt to make it that Floyd really died from his poor health and drug use, used a cardiologist as an expert witness to testify that he found no evidence to suggest Floyd would have died that day, had Chauvin not crushed him.

Have to admit I laughed, the KMC Trumper squad tried similar back when this was new. 'It was his heart and the drugs and the covid!'

Tim Pool is Tim Pooling as only Tim Pool can do.

He wandered into my feed from seeing Fact Fiend (Which I highly recommend for general laughs) and he kept going on about how the defense is perfect, the trials over, exonerated. Funny stuff.

Believe me, it was obvious to them too. Was just bad faith arguments and gaslighting triggered by the amount of melanin in Floyd's skin.

Um, the prosecution just rested and now it's the defense's turn. Seems like Tim Pool is doing his usual gaslighting and nonsense for the Far-Right cause.

We agree. Like I said, Tim Pooling. 🙂

The ridiculous enthusiasm and nonsense words cracks me up, he's about one step away from this guy:

Only true idiots take what Tim Pool says seriously.

And he doesn't even do original work. All he really does is take work someone else did, and stretches "See? See? See?" into a 20-40 minute video.

Yellowflash and TheQuartering pull the same trick. You can read the articles in five minutes.

Go kill yourself.
