Well obviously not looting, but rioting is violent protests right?

Looting IS SCUM taking advantage.

But yeah keep spreading the hate and lies and proving you have zero morals yourself and never fought for a good cause in your entire useless lives.

I wonder whether the looting is made worse by the very bad economic situation people have found themselves in during this pandemic. I have seen accounts where people distributed necessities that were stolen from looted places to people that need them, which may suggest something like that going on.

eh, looters gonna loot

wherever there's chaos there's looters

Do you have a link to those accounts, I'd be interested in reading them. Thank you

Is this what it has come to now? Citizens have to protect the cops from other citizens?

*smh*

Any noble and brave citizen would protect cops from needless harm to them, and protect other citizens from harmful cops.

But it takes morals plus guts.

IOW dont expect your Brolys or Carthages to ever step in.

They are more comfortable internet trolling.

Huge:

A busy body DC resident catches an undercover cop pretending to be a protester. When confronted, the cop says he's with CNN.

The reason why this is huge is this is the second such time (that I am aware of) that cops were caught trying to make protests "escalate" by pretending to be protesters and stoking the flames:

This should NOT be a divisive topic for anyone. There's no possible way anyone on this forum should agree with cops doing this. This is anti-American. Feels like a dystopian authoritarian future...but it's not, this is actually happening.

it's been done over and over and over, even in america.
not pooh-poohing it at all, just glad you took notice of this universally standard corrupt pig tactic of oppressing the people and delegitimizing their voices (just a bunch of rioting animals, etc)

the term you'll wanna google to learn more is "agent provocateur"

thanks for posting this 👆

I presume she was talking to the people there, it seems this is some form of journalist endeavor for her. But she might be lying of course.

okay then I guess the white community of minneapolis needs to explain their murder. since the whole community must own and answer for the crimes of the few, or forfeight justice.

You are one of the biggest pieces of shits on this forum. I want you to know this.

I dug up the term "Agent Provocateur" just the other day in a Google search. Looked through all the Wiki sources.

Yes, there are many times when this has happened. An escalation of peaceful protests into a riot.

I'm not convinced that's what your video is showing, though.

It makes no sense for anyone in the US to want to start a riot. That helps no one. Police look like thugs suppressing it, politicians look bad for it happening on their watch, rioters look bad for rioting. Everyone loses.

I can more readily believe police would dress as protestors to mingle as "plainsclothes" officers.

Edit: And the guy who said "They're CNN" probably isn't lying. You see a bunch of guys dressed like your group that you don't recognize, one conclusion you may jump to is "must be the press". Especially if they're asking weird questions, as plainsclothes officers may.

it seems that they actually were from CNN.

I'm sure that ddm was not attempting to gaslight and delegitemize the filmed occurances of agent provocateurs, by posting an upload stripped of context, instead of posting the feed in which this video and later apology to CNN was originally posted at 1pm EST yesterday (where he found it).

honest mistake by ddm I'm sure, with no intent to decieve/gaslight/muddy the water with silly games.

Would benefit those who want to stereotype black people as thugs and looters.

Or racists who just want things to escalate on both sides.

People who want to see the world burn may, yes. I'd hope no organisation, or government, or large community would follow that logic.

Because if they did, we have bigger problems then a riot here. An organisation of size or authority that just wants to see the world burn is a sign that society is pretty much past the tipping point, with no saving it.

update on umbrella man:

https://heavy.com/news/2020/05/jacob-pederson-auto-zone-cop-not-umbrella-man/

Heavy asked police how they know? As to the alibi, Linders told Heavy: “We were able to verify where the officer was and who he was with. In fact, he was working, as a Saint Paul police officer, protecting people and property.” Heavy asked the police if Pederson will grant an interview, but they said no, repeating that he had an alibi.
Heavy has asked Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder if police know the identity of the umbrella man, and, if so, who it is (we asked Linders the same question, but he didn’t respond to that question.) The AutoZone in question was located near the Minneapolis police 3rd precinct.

why so mysterious? They threw up an investigation at the drop of a hat to cover for their officer, but seem to not care about the identity of umbrella man, and will make no comment on whether they are even investigating to seek his identity. please, St Paul, lie to me. just lie and say "we are however seeking his identity..."

I'm not denying what the people who protected the cop did. I just don't like that it got to that point where citizens needed to even take such an action.

It's not that I trust the cops, but this shit will not make them change it will only make them worse. Have you seen the videos of cops bashing people and legit running folk over? The rioting hasn't caused these cops to do better.

This isn't just about race anymore. They are as out of control as the "protesters". The riots exacerbated the behavior it didn't quell it.
