Nope. Not falling for your little games. 🙂

your time-waster trolling has been noted. feel free to call the practice ridiculous, but just know that you are also calling a hallowed christian tradition "ridiculous".

not brow-beating you over it, though. i think the act of communion is laughably ridiculous. but i'm not the one pretending to be "captain tolerance"

This is the same person who said she respects eThneoLgrRnae for his strong religious convictions. Now, apparently, those same convictions are "cult-like." Hmm... I wonder how these situations are different?

funny, i thought you were a christian

why do you think jesus was ridiculous?

TBF, they probably had no idea of the connection to Christianity/Christ. LoL, poor them.

Wait, the “Christ” in Christianity stemmed from Jesus Christ? As in, the one and only?!

*sigh* yes, eon

i'm the atheist, here. you should be the one teaching me this shit, eon. not vice versa

christ washed the feet of his disciples at the last supper, before he was taken to be crucified

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

John 13: 1 - 15

I’m an agnostic pantheist.

"Humbling oneself" (more like degrading oneself in this case) to wash someone else's stinky feet in a display of virtue-signalling patheticness doesn't make one a Christian lmao. Not surprised that someone who doesn't even believe in God is making the bullshit argument that it does.

I always get a good laugh when a hateful leftist lectures other people on ""how to be a good Christian". Good stuff lol.. I suppose next bash'll be claiming that Jesus supports murdering unborn children as well lol.

Oh leftists...smh. ❌

so christ was just "virtue signaling" when he told his apostles to continue and promote the practice of washing feet.

okay, starfly durwank

anyway, i hope that the practice is/was returned, with christian black folks and other protestors washing the feet of police. that would make it more of a solid christian gesture

It's his cognitive dissonance acting up again, as Christ is one the the greatest liberal social justice warriors in human history.

Trumpers are weird, most of them suffer from cog dis

Most rightists do, this culture war shit should mean nothing in a free society.

because the act of humbling oneself and washing the feet of those of far lower stature was a tradition passed on from christ. certain christian monarchs throughout history have also copied this practice. it's a christian gesture/tradition

Yes, I see nothing wrong with it. However, doing it publicly to get virtue signaling brownie points to get news coverage and social media likes is the opposite of "Christian."

Doing righteous deeds and actions publicly is specifically talked about.

Matthew 6:1-5
1. Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4. That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

5. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

And it also talks about fasting, too:

Matthew 6:16
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Edit - Guys, please praise me for being so biblically knowledgeable. Tell me I'm a good Christian for knowing that virtue signaling for social media likes is against Christ's teachings.
