The death of George Floyd/Chauvin guilty

They shouldn't get any federal money for it, their police killing George started this and their leadership allowed the riots. they should have to pay for it themselves.

Plus if celebrities can donate to bail out rioters and firebombers surely they can donate to help rebuild the city.

Also when major chains were being destroyed I was told it's okay cuz they have insurance. Almost like people were not bright enough to consider who would be footing the bill to do repairs to the city itself.

Most of those cities are so much of a shithole that you wouldn't notice the difference anyway.

True I just say maybe plant some flowers in front of the places and nobody will notice any difference.

City could earn some extra revenue by selling "burned down my city and all I got were these lousy flowers" shirts tho

Assuming the place that makes t-shirts in the area wasn't also burnt down.

Are you kidding? That would actually help the black people and other poor people directly affected. How are they supposed to virtue signal if they use money to directly help the needy?

It's in their insurance. Quite sure those big corporations that got vandalized didn't lose much. I cannot go into details about the insurance policy my company has for this but...the insurance would easily cover it. The premium for the insurance is ridiculous so they had better pay for it.

Aidan Courtright, 27, pulled up in his car next to a Veteran Trump Supporting old man of 82 years, ripped his Trump-Supporting sign out of his hands, pushed him over, kicked his back and legs, and drove off.

He was arrested and plead not guilty.

That article is creepy as f*ck. They doxxed him completely giving out his personal address. I really really don't get it. How is that proper journalism? Anyway, yes, this dude is a shitty human for doing that. But I don't think the news should have doxxed the criminal like that. Feels like they are trying to passive aggressively get some vigilantes to show up and kill him. 😐

Weird, usually they would doxx the Trump supporter

There's a conspiracy going around about the Obama Foundation tweeting a link to obama.org and the thumbnail to the site has George Floyd in it 8 days prior to George Floyd dying - the theory is that George Floyd dying is a false flag event planned many days or months prior to it happening. They support this theory by the fact that George Floyd's family will not/did not have an open casket funeral

So I did some thinking...

The Obama Foundation tweeted a link to obama.org and it has a photo of George Floyd as the "thumbnail." But the only problem is, the tweet was made on May 17th, 8 days before George Floyd was killed on May 25th.

My guess is the twitter API pulls in the thumbnails from the site so the thumbnail can always be dynamic, depending on the site linked and how often the site is updated.

Here's the tweet in question.

https://twitter.com/ObamaFoundation/status/1262054709772324866

I Used the Internet Archive to go back in time. I found an archive of this tweet all the way back on May 17 at 16😘X.

Doesn't load the friggin' thumbnail image (probably a function of archiving and the Twitter API...not going to work in the archive as it is a "get" function that won't work from an archive entry):

Anyway, this is as far as I could take the research. Didn't necessarily debunk the theory but I feel like I'm 99% of the way there but I can't quite cross the finish line.

" civil-rights violation with injury, assault and battery on person over 60, vandalism of personal property, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon."

nice laundry list of charges. now he'll have a few years to prove how tough he really is (more likely how well he can take the cock)

Dumbass comes to George Floyd/Anti-Police Violence protest dressed as Justin Trudeau and it drove people insane.

Trudeau for reference:

Thankfully, the cops intervened and arrested the Justin Trudeau cosplayer for "disrupting the peace."

Shut down all police movies and TV shows. Now.

Oof. Some feelings at stake there at the washington post

These god damn white supremacists

Who would have thought that the fascist left-wing authoritarians would want to to shut down free speech? They never do things like this.

who's trying to shut down free speech? networks are free to air what they wish and cancel what they wish. dictating that they must have cop shows however...

and before you make any ad hominem accusations, Lucifer is currently one of my fav shows, and it's a crime drama starring cops. I would be upset if it was cancelled (again)

We read the same article, right?

you seem to be reading an article which attacks the first amendment. I read an article which states an opinion on what networks should air. maybe we're talking about two different articles?

Man, you're absolutely right. I was wrong. An opinion article from a Washington Post writer demanding - in a very lengthy and systematically thought out article - we eliminate the expression of certain speech is definitely not a demand to suppress speech.

Thanks for clearing things up for us. What would we do with out your amazingly intelligent input into these topics? Thankfully, you were right there to contradict me when I posted my disappointment with WaPo, just in case "something."
