Chuck Schumer introduced a bill in the Senate today to declare explicitly that presidents do not have immunity from criminal conduct, overriding last month's supreme court ruling that Donald Trump has some immunity for his actions as president.

The No Kings Act, which would apply to presidents and vice-presidents, has more than two dozen Democratic co-sponsors.

"Given the dangerous and consequential implications of the court's ruling, legislation would be the fastest and most efficient method to correcting the grave precedent the Trump ruling presented," the Senate majority leader said in a statement.

It will likely be blocked by Republicans, but if Democrats take the House, it will become law. At the very least, it gets Republicans on record as wanting a king right before the election.

The praising of Vladimir Putin was offhanded, Trump was trying to use it like Biden got the worst deal, even though it was a 2 for 1 swap. Just came off as desperate and weird

Weirder still was Vance and other Trump surrogates giving credit to Trump by claiming that Putin only made the deal because he's terrified of Trump returning to office, even though Paul Whelan was taken under Trump's watch and Trump failed to get him back for years.

I would assume considering Vance has 18month of political experience under his belt and he seems to just repeat the Trump nonsense talking points. But I don't eithers debating skills.

Harris can't win without Pennsylvania or Georgia. She can't lose both. She's down a point in Georgia, and up and point in PA. So virtual tie. That's much closer than 2020 when Biden was polling with 5 point leads in every swing state. Is RFK taking her votes, or is is he leaching from trump? He's about 5 percent in every state.
