With dementia you dont know what youre doing either. Might be a conscious decision, but that doesnt matter if youre not in a fit enough state to make conscious decisions.Usually family members have Power of Attorney to make financial and medical decisions in dementia cases.
It's more selfish this weak really. Robin Williams has family, friends and loved ones who loved him deeply. He didn't stop for a minute to think how him committing suicide would affect them. Then again, what you said, not thinking clearly. I guess we'll never know.

Look at all the attention you're getting. Good for you, thirsty senior citizen. Project your alcoholism again...oh wait...wait a few hours till I get home. I'll make a yummy margarita and sip it while I read, and unlike you, I'll finish my one drink, call it a night, and not f*ck my life up

Lol, damn dude, you're so sensitive. You're like a fat woman who is told the Golden corral buffet has been shut down.
Seriously though: knock knock......
Suicide is a sensitive topic with varying opinions.
Yeah, it hurts the surviving family & friends, but it’s ultimately the choice of the person committing the act.
If I found out I had Alzheimer’s disease and would eventually degenerate into a quivering shell of a human with no cognitive abilities and deteriorating body functions, I’d most definitely eat a bullet to spare myself and my family the grief.
Robin Williams knew what would happen to him and chose to die. He had depression, yes, but also had confirmed Lewy Bodies that would make him an absolute shadow of a human being. He didn’t want to become that and he had the right to die.
Some people are just genuinely beyond help.
