My whole point was giving a possible answer to some people on here who couldn't understand why people were reacting the way they did over this. After being told for months that Biden can't even piss himself without help, you don't see why people would react positively to him giving a competent speech? You genuinely don't see that?

I never said I don't see what people are doing and why, I'm pointing out how it's illogical and not consistent with how they've treated Trump and Trump has given more than 1 speech that received bipartisan praise.

Biden has been hiding in his basement for months. Why do you think he avoids interviews and questions from reporters?

Surtur is right, one "good" speech by Biden doesn't erase all of the times he has had problems forming coherent sentences.

I said nothing to indicate I didn't see why people are reacting this way, so it's odd to pretend like I said something that indicated that.

My entire point was it's faulty. Not that I don't get why folk would latch onto it.

Now I think Biden and Harris are doing an interview tonight so we shall see. Perhaps all the downtime during the pandemic gave his brain a chance to rest up and he has changed. It's possible we will see a more articulate Biden in the coming weeks.

It's just that I know people love to feel they have a "gotcha" on Trump and this wasn't one.

You're right, and two quotes from Trump that aren't racist shouldn't be enough to prove that he's definitively not a racist. Right? Just being consistent here, which is what Surt is asking for.

In the original Trump thread you posted two quotes from Trump and harped on about how he couldn't be a racist because those two quotes weren't racist, I then pointed out that I could probably find two Adolf Hitler quotes that weren't antisemitic (thereby displaying that finding a few aberrant examples isn't enough just on it's own). It's funny that you get that now, now that Trumps character isn't being called out.
