The thing about Biden's speech isn't about it being so amazing that he's already won the presidency, but rather that we've been getting told for months that the man is a slobbering idiot incapable of stringing more than two words together, if nobody was talking about Joe's mental health then this speech would have been treated quite normally I expect. It's like the golf thing, no-one cares that Trump plays a lot of golf but they talk about it because Trump used to attack Obama for playing golf during his presidency.

The thing is this logic doesn't make sense, doing one good speech doesn't mean you aren't impaired. My grandpa had cognitive issues and yet sometimes he could be sharp as a tack. We didn't act like imbeciles and pretend he didn't have issues because of that though. Trump is called impaired and he's pulled off good speeches. So the lack of consistency hurts these claims. So let us see how Joe performs in interviews over the next 2 months, then people can go "see the narrative was wrong". Until then? Nope folk should not incorrectly use this as a gotcha or point to it as proof of anything other than on one single occasion Biden managed to get through a speech without messing it up. That is the only valid takeaway here, not that the narrative itself is shattered.
And now anyone arguing this does negate the narrative around Biden would be a hypocrite if they say Trump is impaired, given his past good speeches.
