To be fair in that discussion, in the usa the neo liberals and liberals are the left. I realize that doesn't jibe with the EU side of things but this is Murika baby 😱

I sort of get what you mean, but clearly there's a deep divide between the left wing of the Democratic party, like AOC and Sanders, and Warren and Markey to a lesser degree (and most of the voters for that matter) and the corporate neo-liberal wing of the party. And I do think conflating the left with liberals is a bit silly, and really just play into the hands of the united interests of both the Democratic and Republican party, so I think it's worthwhile to point that out.

It doesn't matter. Remember just yesterday I pointed out the extreme left is more accepted than the extreme right and backed it up by pointing out they were allowed to take over a small chunk of a city, hand out guns, etc. for a month. This was just met with shrugs.

Yup... remember though, the left has virtually zero power in the United States lol.😂

And they also generally control social media atm, so they have plenty of power and influence.

I mean you most see how tech billionaires being labeled as left is a bit absurd in the grand scheme of things...

It doesn't matter what you want to label them, the end result we wind up with is that Big Tech seems to favor the left.

This couldn't be made anymore clear by the suppression of unverified Biden stories when unverified Trump stories do not receive the same treatment.

Yes, it is silly conflating the left with true, classical liberals I agree. The latter are actually not all that bad. The former are a bunch of crazy socialist and commie morons.

And tell me which side you think will benefit more from this:

No, that isn't crazy at all. They can be and most are globalist leftist pieces of shit.

Biden isn't left in any meaningful sense though. He is deeply pro-corporate power, he's deeply against labor laws, he's in the pocket of wealthy interests. But sure, if you call Biden left, what do you call people that want to control corporate power and exploitation of working people, because it's not the establishment of the Democrats for sure. I'm willing to adopt your terminology, but I am not willing to pretend that the same term describes Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, that's absurd.

I agree that Biden is nowhere near as far left as crazies like AOC and Sanders but he is still on the left though.

Hmm, I see you are pretty opposed to AOC and Sanders, and I don't think I can convince you otherwise, but tbh, from what you said in the other thread, I think you could really benefit from an actual leftist, class based movement. Like you shouldn't struggle to heat your place, that's ****ed up, and it's that way because the Democrats and Republicans have failed the country.

Trump is wealthy and he isn't benefiting from the twitter bias

Use the term left, use the term democrat, use whatever you want the bottom line is at the end of the day it's not the republicans receiving the special treatment from these companies it is their opposition.

Which wouldn't be that much of an issue if they just admitted this, but the problem is they claim they do not favor any side.

Well, I suppose that is true, he did benefit from the way the media works last time around though. And I mean he himself admits that the US political system works in favor of people like him. Remember when he said he paid people from both parties cause that's just smart? He's completely right with that, that's basically how it works, you get your one vote and billionaires get to go to talk with the president in private to get whatever they want.

You are right of course, not every individual billionaire wins every time, but they as a group always win out. I would even say what we are seeing in Trump vs. Biden or generally Republicans vs. Democrats is just two competing interests of billionaires competing. Like on the one side you have people like the tech billionaires you call "left", and Bill Gates, and George Soros, that want control of the government for their interests, and are a bit more socially liberal and back Biden, and then on the other hand you have people like the Koch Brothers (or single Brother now), Rupert Murdoch, the DeVos family who want to have control, are in favor of a slightly more conservative social policy and back Trump to get it. Whoever wins you lose...

The CEO's don't have to be left loving to have their so called platforms being controlled by ppl on the left.

We still come away from all this with one inescapable fact: Big Tech moved to suppress an unverified story that made Biden look bad. They have never once done so with unverified stories that make Trump look bad.

Whatever reason for their agenda the end result is still that democrats are more or less aided by Big Tech.

Interesting, how do you propose this mechanism works? Like why do you think these platforms are controlled by the "left" if it is not the owners and executives agreement with it?

Yeah, I can't help it, bud. When people proudly call themselves socialists and believe in crazy things like the Green New Deal and decriminalizing border crossings and routinely talk about how America is a "deeply racist" place that was never great I can't bring myself to take them seriously.

As for heating my place, I don't really struggle to do that.. I am not rich but I'm by no means poor either. I get by one way or another. I certainly don't think socialism is the answer to any problem I migh have with it lol.

I wish they were tbh. But I get your point, and I agree, big tech is generally liberal, for sure. And also extremely myopic. And additionally, I think they are convinced that they are doing good on top of that all that, lol.
