Amen to that. She is much better looking, more reasonable sounding, and a hell of a lot smarter too (but then that's not really saying much as a box of rocks is smarter than horseface AOC lol).

I think at this point they are almost daring the government to try to regulate them.

Only a week after they suppressed the negative Biden story they bust out this oversight board change which really makes them come off like publishers.

Plus she'd beat AOC in a fight.

Yeah, I can't help it, bud. When people proudly call themselves socialists and believe in crazy things like the Green New Deal and decriminalizing border crossings and routinely talk about how America is a "deeply racist" place that was never great I can't bring myself to take them seriously.

As for heating my place, I don't really struggle to do that.. I am not rich but I'm by no means poor either. I get by one way or another. I certainly don't think socialism is the answer to any problem I migh have with it lol.

Yeah, fair enough, I mean I don't think it has to be socialism really, I just think the government should work to help create good, well paying jobs, and protect it's citizens from being taken advantage of by people that for whatever reason have a lot more money and resources than them. I don't think that has to be anti-capitalist, I am all for small and medium sized businesses, they are the backbone of any economy. When they become huge corporations that are completely in the control of pricks like Bezos or Musk, then I think it's gone wrong.

Like I think that it's ****ed up that while most Americans lost wealth and faced hardship these billionaire assholes got even more rich during the crisis, that's just bullshit and shouldn't be acceptable. And I don't even think it would be if they hadn't bought the Democrats and Republicans to skew the playing field in their favor, that's not even a fair marketplace....

Interesting, how do you propose this mechanism works? Like why do you think these platforms are controlled by the "left" if it is not the owners and executives agreement with it?

ATM the leftists tend to control the greatest volume and influence on social media, that has nothing to do with CEO's.

I'm all for the government regulating them, and maybe even anti-trust to separate them into smaller entities with less power and possibly to foster competition. I mean the internet and some of these huge platforms are basically like utilities, and it shouldn't be up to Mark Zuckerberg to decide how he uses it...there should be oversight by the people.

Is that really true? I mean aren't people like Tim Pool, Ben Shapiro, Steven Crowder huge on these platforms?

Hell NY Post seems to be still locked out of their twitter account. I just checked and they haven't tweeted since October 14th.

I will point out nobody was ever locked out of their account for sharing the unverified story about russian bounties.

I think there should definitely be more regulations on big corporations to protect the little guy but you do know that Trump has actually lost money since becoming president, right?

He is not profiting financially from it. He had a great, comfortable, easy life before he decided to put himself thru the hellish smears that he receives on a daily basis from the MSM and Hollywood. He even donates his full salary as president to charity.

I don't agree with the general view of those on the left that ultra wealthy always equals a person being bad or corrupt.

That's true, but Tim Pool is no right-winger though lol.

That may be true about Trump, it's hard to know of course, because nothing is open, but if you take his word for it it's true. I don't think this is a Trump problem though, like why are all Senators millionaires, how does that make sense, surely they should be representative of the people, most of which are not millionaires at all...

I don't think that the ultra wealthy are necessarily bad or corrupt at all, they may be lovely people, they just shouldn't have all that power, and the system they benefit from is incredibly corrupt and stacked against most people.

Yeah, that may be so, but he's not really well liked by the "left" and tech billionaires though, or what do you think?

I don't know if you're just reaching for something to grab but you want to compare their platforms vs something like most professional sports teams that have both traditional media and social media and corporations supporting their SJW positions? In addition to the teams individual members, then you have actors in hollywood, then you have a majority of "influencers" that want to monetize their platforms and it's far easier to do so going with the flow of SJW content.

It's FAR FAR easier for right posters to lose monetization then left posters on social media, not that it doesn't happen but it happens less frequently. Less dislikes, more algorithms that favor your mssgs in the general public etc.

I don't think a few popular conservatives or liberals necessarily negates the idea that leftists have the greatest deal of influence on social media at the moment.

I suppose this is still the difference between left and right that we have. Leftist (i.e corporate-critical content) does extremely poorly and is buried on these platforms. Somewhat PC (or maybe what you'd call SJW content) that is at the same time incredibly pro-corporate does well. That's more or less what places like Vox and such specialize in. It's "left" in some relatively meaningless way, that doesn't help the people it pretends to be in favor of. Like Disney is more diverse and adding "badass women" into their movies not because they are left and have an agenda, but because it sells their shit to more people (or at least they think it does). Same with sports teams.

But yes, if we take this "shallow social justice, economically extremely pro-corporation" stance as "left" then I do think you are right and that is the vast majority of mainstream media...

Of course he isn't because he is actually one of the more reasonable liberals out there who isn't constantly screaming "Orange man bad!" and frequently criticizes the Democrats.

I watch his videos nearly every day and he frequently talks about how he doesn't really like Trump but that he is voting for him anyway because the Democrats are going too far left and he doesn't recognize their party anymore.

Pool says a lot of things I agree with but he also sometimes irritates me with some of the things he says. He supports abortion and that is one thing that I am vehemently opposed to. He also likes vaccines and I am totally opposed to vaccines being made mandatory.

How did you get into Tim Pool videos in the first place? It sounds like you are very conservative in most of your views.

No more so than Silent Master or Ddm I'm sure.
